Is this a glaze that is applied and then baked?

You apply it *after* you bake your Sculpey item and after it cools. It gives a nice finish after it dries.

Hi! Here is what I've found on the web: Is sculpey® glaze water-based?Yes, both Sculpey® Glaze Gloss and Satin are water-based. If your Sculpey® glaze becomes too thick, you can thin by adding a few drops of water to achieve desired consistency. To avoid air bubbles, stir gently. Do not shake.

Can you mix this product with acrylic paint to make it a colored glaze?

Hi! I haven't done this. Here is a link to this technique although it's not sculpey: http://www.howcast.com/videos/508616-how-to-use-glaze-paint-techniques/. Maybe try a small amount so you can get the correct paint to glaze ratio.
