Best idea ever for helping those in walking casts.
I had a stress fracture 3 yrs ago and wore the "boot" for 6 weeks - even with my tallest shoes, I could NOT get my hips level and as a result took another month to be able to walk without limping and the chiro loved to see me. This product is AWESOME! It brings whatever shoe I'm wearing up to the same level as the boot. It gives me stability over most surfaces and allows me to work on my feet for hours without my hips bothering me. I have to say it is most comfortable on my leather sneakers or hiking shoes over my sandals or clogs, the rubber that comes over your foot can bite into your toes if they aren't protected by shoes. However, that is such a small price to pay to be pain free while walking like a human and not limping and tweaking your back. I looked at the cheaper versions of this product and they looked more restrictive - I'm glad I chose this style because it definitely is the best value. There is nothing I would change about it. I noticed a few people complained that it comes off...they either have the wrong size or are trying to use the wrong shoe. I have managed to knock the heel off twice. I stumbled down a curb once and once I caught my foot on a stall mat...it has yet to slip in wearing on grass, pavement, concrete and all different slopes to the ground. I've worn it while working craft fairs on grass and concrete and with the walking and standing associated with setting up and working a booth, I am thrilled with how well this has helped me endure wearing the dreaded boot on my broken foot.

Indispensable to go with a walking boot cast
My Ortho told me right away to get one of these for when I started bearing weight on my walking boot cast. So glad I did. It’s actually a little low for my boot but imagine how lopsided I would be without it? You can get extra lifts but I didn’t bother. One day I was out and some guy commented on it and said he got one too and most people don’t bother. We both agreed it is a real game changer. I’ve had my heel slip out a couple times but it’s not a problem because the strap holds the shoe in. It’s not like I am going anywhere fast anyway.... The bottom sole is not grippy but I think that’s for good reason. I wouldn’t want to get my foot stuck on the floor and go tumbling. I wear it with my sparkling new white leather sneakers and the rubber hasn’t rubbed off on them. If you’re going to be stuck in a boot, it’s a small price to pay to keep your hip from getting out of joint. Highly recommended.

CAM BOOT LIFESAVER
If you ever should need foot or ankle surgery and require a cam boot this is a must-have!!!! It evens the length of your legs by adding about an inch and a half to 2 in to your remaining shoe. An additional insert is optional and comes with it. It's comfortable it stays on the shoe it's easy to adjust. I don't know what I would have done without it!

Works wonderfully.
This little shoe adapter saved my good hip! I had an ankle/foot injury requiring a cast or boot for 8 weeks. The shoe adapter enabled me to even up my frame and save damage to my hip secondary to uneven gait. I would purchase this again and I have purchased for a friend. Great invention. One negative, you have to use a shoe that doesn’t hang over the side of lift or you can easily turn your ankle. Also, I wear a size eight shoe so I purchased a small. It was nearly too small.

Ingenious idea, TERRIBLE EXECUTION
My orthopedist was so pumped to give me a leg up while using my boot for FOUR months that he printed off a picture of Even Up on Amazon. I was blinded by his good looks then overwhelmed by this thoughtfulness. Doc gets 50 stars but this product gets a 1, for ingenuity. I wear a women's 6 and ordered a small, which fits sizes 6-8 (huge difference). The most impractical part of this product is when you’re finally haphazardly strapped in, excited to take a step, the rock hard foam doesn’t bend with the arch of your shoe and out pops your heel. Maybe my good foot is deformed as well? The best solution(s) to Even Up is to wear two orthopedic boots and look like a stormtrooper, or (if female), buy one of those chunky sneakers on Amazon. I love mine and they are the perfect height! Thanks Amazon!

Serious bodysaver for those in a walking boot on one foot!
Following a broken foot sprained ankle or surgery, so many folks in a walking boot don't realize that they need to even up the other foot to keep from throwing their back and hips completely out of kilter. I am so grateful that my physical therapist told me to get this thing! Many of us wonder why our doctors initial requirements don't always include this along with the boot??

Have a broken leg and wearing a cast??
This even up shoe extender was a life saver. I broke my leg and was in a cast for 6 weeks. The cast was thick on the bottom making my leg longer than the no cast leg. Walking is difficult when you have a longer leg due to the cast. With this strapped onto the sole of my tennis shoe I was able to walk safely and more level. This helped my hip and leg during PT and the healing stage. I highly recommend these if you are in a cast.

The Size description is not accurate, they are made small , so ladies small should likely be medium
The size description is not accurate. I am a woman's nike runner US 7.5 and asics runner, size 8, so I ordered small as recommended. But it's too short for my sneaker. I need to order Medium. Now the price has increased almost 15$ to order the medium less than a wk later. They are Expensive

Personal experience
Compensates my shorten leg after surgery. It helps to lessen my pressure on the back muscle.
