And how slow or fast are their beats? I do not yet have a set of these tingshas. However, as a general answer to your question, tingsha pairs are tuned to the same frequency (pitch), but not precisely. That results is a tremolo (vibrating volume beats) that vary in number of beats per second from set to set. The closer the pitches of the two cymbals are together, the slower the beats. If they happen to be precisely in tune (which is rare), there is no beat. The beats are desirable. They add a feeling of depth or echo to the tone, and they entrain the brain to certain brain wave frequencies -- alpha waves, theta waves, etc., depending on the speed of the beats. This puts one into a meditative state (or perhaps an alert state if beta wave beats are produced).
