Where Live In New York was funky, get-down Patti, Live! One Night Only is classy, elegant Patti. That is not to say the Diva is not as high energy as always, but that you can see her true beauty and grace in this tape filmed at the beautiful Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. If you've never seen Patti, she's a rare performer who takes you to the clouds with her first note, and doesn't let you back down until two days after the show is over. Patti starts the show in the back of the house, belting out the classic I Believe. Act I concludes with a performance of You Are My Friend/Lord's Side that'll make you swear you see Jesus clappin' his hands. Act II is Patti at her best! Backed by a full orchestra, Patti covers songs from Edith Piaf, Dionne Warwick, Ashford & Simpson and others. She closes out with a powerhouse performance of Over the Rainbow/I Believe I Can Fly. Even superstars Luther Vandross and Mariah Carey join in the fun. You'll laugh, you'll cry and then you'll start the show all over again just to experience it one more time. My only concern. . .can your soul and your speakers handle the performance?

Very enjoyable.
I last saw Patti with the Labelles in about 1970. She does perform in Las Vegas, but that is too far away for me. This dvd gives my a home concert.

THIS DVD "LIVE ONE NIGHT ONLY/PATTI LABELLE IF YOU ARE A TRUE PATTIE LABELLE FAN AND HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN TO ANY OF HER CONCERTS, OR HAVE HEARD HER SING, THEN YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT, SHE ALWAYS GIVES HER BEST. JUST SEEING AND HEARING LUTHER VANDROSS BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES,REMINDING ME OF ANOTHER LOSS OF A TALENTED SINGER. " AGAIN ENJOYED THIS DVD AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING THIS DVD IF YOU TRULY ENJOY PATTIE. DVD IS CLEAR AUDIO EXCELLENT, MAKES IT SEEM THAT YOU ARE AT THIS CONCERT . IF YOU WANT TO LAUGH, SHOUT ALONG WITH PATTIE MAYBE EVEN CRY WHILE LISTENING TO SOME OF THESE SONGS, "BUY THIS DVD. THANK YOU AMAZON.

Always A Grand Performance
My fave singer...no one does it better or with more heart. She reaches me every time. Have the cd/vhs and decided to get dvd as my vhs player no longer works and I simply wanted to see and hear this beautiful spirit share with so many. Been to many concerts and have even sung back ground with her. Love always shine through her!

It was like being at the venue. Patti is awesome and give a great performance and you don't have to leave your house!

パティーは、凄いね！前回のライブビデオも良かったけど、今回は映像も綺麗だし音も本当に良かった！一見、年をとる毎に大人しくなってるようにも見えるけど、なんか歌、前より上手くなってる感じがする、深みが感じられた！昔、彼女のライブを東京で見た時を思い出すな‾日本版が出ないのが残念！彼女のMCが解らない！字幕がほし‾。みなさん！このDVDはおすすめです！涙が出ますよ！マライヤキャリーも一曲歌うよ！彼女は輝いてるね！ステージに出てくると場が華やかになる。なんでだろ‾？

Die muss man einfach haben!
Die DVD von Patti LaBelle ist ein absolutes Muss in jedem Musikschrank! Diese Frau ist unglaublich auf der Bühne, die Stimme einzigartig und fesselnd. Ich freue mich sehr mit diesem Sahnestückchen!

Diese DVD ist ein absolutes Must für alle Fans von Patti La Belle. Endlich kann man diesen "Wahnsinn" als DVD genießen, da Miss Patti leider keine Konzerte in Europa gibt,eine wirklch gute Alternative.Ich denke, dass diese DVD aber wirklich nur etwas für Fans ist. Wenn jemand noch nie etwas mit der Music von Patti zu tun hatte, dem würde ich eher eines der zahlreichen Alben empfehlen, "Burnin" / "Gems" etc.
