Allegro Coffee Decaf Sumatra Ground Coffee, 12 oz

I've ordered the Allegro Decaf Organic French Roast coffee (ground) several times and love the smooth, rich taste. However, with my last two orders I mistakenly received the caffeinated Mocha Java and Cafe La Duena. Someone had incorrectly placed stickers with bar codes on the tops of each package identifying the products as Decaf Organic French Roast, but what I got were the caffeinated Mocha Java and Cafe Le Duena. Those Allegro coffees are probably very good, but I cannot drink caffeinated coffee, so I was out of luck. Amazon did not charge me for the wrong items, but I was disappointed to not get the products I ordered. I spoke with customer service, and they said they would try to correct the situation, so I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I ordered 6 packages of Allegro coffee.3 Decaf and 3 regular.Instead I received 5 packages.2Decaf and 3 regular.Please send me the missing Decaf package. The coffee is very good. Thank youThank you

I switched to decaf for health reasons, and I have to say I don’t feel like I’m missing a thing with this coffee. It has a nice mellow full-bodied flavor.

This French roast decaf if my favorite decaf I have ever had! Due to adrenal fatigue and recovering from it I can not have caffeine. The first time I ordered it I fell in love on the first cup. However when I went to order my second bag the first time I got a half caff and the second time after calling Amazon and getting a refund, the next bag was a full caffeine coffee whole bean blend. I am very sad and wish they would pay attention to how they are labeling the coffee as this seems to be an issue. I will update my review if the issue gets resolved and they can label their coffees correctly so customers are not disappointed.

I had to give up caffeine after doing a food sensitivity test. But an important part of my day is to enjoy my morning coffee. I learned that most decaf coffee is processed with chemicals. While decaf processed with chemicals is "probably" safe, I hated the idea I was drinking chemicals. After looking for months for a full-bodied, rich tasting swiss-water processed decaf, I had given up. Found one SWP brand at the local grocery. Not awful, but not like real coffee. Tried other selections off Amazon and wasn't impressed. But this one tastes like the rich, dark roast of many of the caffeinated brands I used to drink. Other than not getting the caffeine kick, you'd never guess it was decaf! My only gripe of course is the price, so I'll probably be buying the cheaper brand at the local grocery 2/3 of the time and this one 1/3,They also have a whole bean espresso roast, but I wasn't as impressed as this ground French roast. Not bad, but the French roast actually has a richer taste (you would have thought the espresso roast would have been richer).

This coffee is delicious, and the roast is a really solid middle ground that gives you some of the acidity of a lighter roast while also delivering some of the more chocolatey notes of a darker roast. It balances nicely. The spice flavor Sumatran coffee is famous for is also quite prominent. I picked up one bag of this while looking to try new coffees, and have since ordered five more bags and stopped drinking much else. The flavor has been consistent across all the bags I've had. I'm very pleased with Allegro Coffee.I'd also like to say that the Swiss Water decaffeination process is top notch. I don't feel like I'm missing out on much, if any, flavor.The only thing I can think of to knock this coffee for is freshness. It doesn't have a roast date on the packaging, only an expiration date. It's still quite good, however, and has a fullness to the flavor you can only really achieve by having been roasted pretty recently. It doesn't have the really distinct, bold flavor coffee has when it's within a few days of roasting, but that tends to override the flavor of the coffee and leave you just tasting the fresh roast. You're supposed to let it off gas for a few days before you drink freshly roasted coffee anyway, so I can't really knock them for missing that window.

My family loves this decaf coffee. We started buying it because I am very sensitive to the acid in coffee. Sumatra is known for its low acidity. I also needed decaf because caffeine makes me to jittery. But I didn't want to give up flavor. I wanted to know I was actually drinking a cup of coffee and not dark water. I don't get the jitters and I feel I am drinking a cup of coffee. Yumm!
