Ingenious Idea
What a brilliant product. Before I heard about these, I used to carry a pair of drumsticks and a practice pad with me wherever I went. I used to play between classes, before extracurriculars, and whenever I had a chance to wind down. The consequence of this was that my backpack was always heavier than it had to be. After trying these, I am a changed person. These tips allow me to practice on the go while relying only on a pair of drumsticks. They hardly ever fall off and provide a strikingly similar experience to playing on a pad. They work on almost any surface, provided that it is sturdy enough. As an additional consequence of the design, they alter the traditional timbre of the drumset and allow you to experiment with new sounds. I would recommend these tips to almost anyone that needs some extra portability in their life. Whether you use them during school, before work, or in the car before a date that you're really nervous about and you can't seem to gather your thoughts because your anxiety is through the roof... (an oddly familiar occurence) you cannot go wrong with these.

These tips are so dang versatile
These are really nice and damn cool stick tips. I got them to be able to replace my on the go practice pad and wow... they work so well. The tips are a soft rubber and play very nice on counter top. They work well on other varieties of materials such as wood, concrete, glass, etc. And yes I walked around my house and tapped on every possible thing and may have nearly broken my window. If you plan on using these to practice with marching sticks, I would stay away. The tips donโt fit properly onto 2bsโ let alone a marching stick. What they do fit on to is 5bsโ really, really well. I play with 2b, 5b and 55a and Iโd say they fit best on the 5b. 2b stretches it out a little to much for what Iโm comfortable with and 7asโ are just all around small; 7a works but again... 5b is the best fit.

Great for muting purposes
I wanted to play drums on my acoustic kit with less noise. When I put these tips on my drumsticks to play drums, I noticed a few things right away. Since they are a hard rubber, they do dampen sound but not completely. When I hit a cymbal with the drum sticks, they give a tiny sort of sound (which I wasn't expecting) but like I said, the sound is definitely muted. If I choose to use them on a practice pad, essentially its rubber hitting rubber so there's little sound. When the tips are on the drumsticks, you could strike the drumstick on any surface to dampen sound and not damage the object, but be cautious when doing this. I personally would not recommend doing this but if you want to, go ahead. Everything comes down to personal preference how you'd like sound to be heard. Room acoustics also give a story to how sound is heard. In opinion, I'd give these a try and see how they work for you.

yeah badass
these are awesome. they stay on the stick, have great bounce. longevity, and not overly heavy in weight. if you're even considering them, just buy em. you'll be glad you did... they are a practice pad attached to your sticks, works on virtually and hard surface..

These Vic Firth rubber tips are great.
I find them to be the answer for silent drum practice. I built an e drum kit just for that purpose. It can be very difficult for others in the home to have to listen to.

Nice effect, but they don't stay on
Bought these to use on a few specific songs during live performances, not just for practice. They do give a nice deep sound on the toms, which I like, but tough to get a decent crash on a cymbal (as expected). Nice effect when doing a roll on a cymbal, though. Unfortunately, they don't stay on the sticks very well - they both came flying off near the end of the first song. Since then, I've taken a pair of new sticks, sanded and roughed them up a bit, and glued the rubber tips to the sticks using carpenters glue. A few songs in, so far so good.

Slight noise reduction on electronic drum
I bought this to reduce the noise of playing on my electronic drum. It cushion the impact of the tip, noise reduction is less than 10%.

Simple replacement for practice pad. Good for travel.
Simple sleeves that slip onto the end of drumsticks that allows them to be used for practice on any hard surface. Good for travel as packing a practice pad is no longer necessary.

Useful And Fun Drum Product
Brilliant little gubbins, this. These little rubber ball type thingies fit on most sticks (I tried on Vic Firth and Regal Tip 5As and AJ2s myself) and allow you to use any reasonable firm surface as a practice pad. They will allow any drummer to drive anyone nearby absolutely mental by allowing the practicing of paradiddles, ratamacues and double flammed mills (whatever that might be) on the kitchen worktop, the desk, the bedpost, the window sill, the toilet seat, a bar stool, a postbox, a floor, a moon rocket, whatever you can think of. They are easy to pop on and off the tips of your sticks and can be carried in a pocket. If you use them on a practice pad it makes the pad even quieter and the feel of the sticks is pretty good when playing on any of the aforrementioned surfaces. Used on actual drums and cymbals, the UPTs make a mallety noise. If you turn up at a gig and need to make some softer sounds but you forgot the mallets at home, keep a couple of these in your stickbag and, voila, le mallets and you won't look like a disorganised twit. Defo worth buying a pack of these.
