So glad I read the reviews on sizing before buying
I'm 5'09" & 185 lbs. and so I usually buy in the Large to XL range, but after reading the reviews on this sweater, I ordered a XXL and I'm glad I did. The XXL fit me perfectly right out of the box. It IS slim through the torso, but the XXL was not overly long in the waist or the arms.I haven't washed it yet and if it shrinks when I do, then it will no longer fit. I'll update this review if it shrinks later on.

Buyer beware: defective product and defective seller attitude means one should avoid Captain Dave!
I really like these retro-style military type sweaters, and I own three of them (an RAF and two Royal Marine sweaters). I have had them for months or years, without any problems. I purchased the sweater in the photo from Captain Dave just before Christmas. I got it in a large, the same as the other sweaters I wear. The first time I wore this sweater, it tore, as you can see in the photo. The hole on the right was immediately noticeable; the smaller tear I saw soon after. I asked about returning the sweater for a refund, but Captain Dave's return policy is that the buyer has to cover the cost of return shipping. Having been accustomed to, and spoiled by, Amazon's return policy, I was frustrated that Captain Dave would not cover the return cost. I am out almost $53 for a cheaply made sweater, and I have to pay to get a refund? How is that in any sense fair or just? It isn't. Sadly, in this case, the Amazon A-Z Marketplace refund policies does not apply; I had several emails with Amazon, as well as chats. I guess Captain Dave has its own alphabet, possibly spelled RIP-OFF or CHEAP, that is outside the A-Z of Amazon. If you choose to buy from Captain Dave, know that you take a risk. I have a sweater that I am too embarrassed to wear or even give away to a thrift store.

6’ 195, XL fits right.
6’ 195, fairly lean, XL fits right. Not baggy, not tight, waist sits at the top of my pockets, arms are long enough to wear down and not too long to push up. The sweater will stretch as you wear it and return to size in the wash. Be aware that if you have any kind of belly this sweater will show it off. Basic, comfy, warm. Work, play, casual dinner. I like it.

READ THE REVIEWS.
READ THE REVIEWS. All the reviews I read said this garment ran incredibly small and it truly does. Way, way small in fit. Typically I wear an XL and thus on everyone's recommendation I ordered a 3X. It fit like an slim XL. Whomever tailored this garment must have been a Smurf. Quality was good enough, but it's way to small.

Vintage look, Great Fit, Wrong Material
I enjoy the good fit and rustic look of this reproduction sweater. It fits nicely over a collared shirt.I only wish someone made this in 100% Wool -- even if it costs more. Wool is warmer and will retain 80% of its insulative properties when wet. I tend to prefer wool sweaters as a result.

I wear a size M (US). I'm a 42 regular in a port coat. I ordered an XL based on the reviews. While the sweater is otherwise a perfect fit, it's nearly down to my knees in length. Great tube dress! What is it with clothiers being so consistently unae to coordinate US and Asian sizes? How hard can this possiy be to figure out???

Tried it on out of the package and fits as expected or as reviews said. It fits tighter around the torso but I don't mind showing off that dad bod a little bit. I'm 5'7 and like 200lbs... I'm a little heavier set and ordered a large and I really enjoy the look and feel this sweater has. You may wanna order an XL for it to be a little less snug. It definitely has some weight to it and is warm with just a long sleeve t-shirt under it so I imagine a nice, snug pair of thermals under it would be toasty. Washed it by itself on the cold water setting and dried on low so it wouldn't shrink a whole lot off the first wash. Gonna do the same for the next few washes. Definitely recommend if you're interested in buying.

Good Utilitarian Sweater
Like many reviewers mentioned, this sweater does shrink a lot after wash and dry because of it's cotton construction. The sleeves especially shrink up a lot so if you're the type to care about sleeve length, you should keep that in your consideration. Overall, a good comfortable layer thats good for the fall and winter.

too tight, too long.
It seems that it is made for smaller men than the american avertie person. The fit is too tight and the sweater too long. Very poor design. The sizes do not correspond to the north american men built. It is a nice model unique that should be reingeeniner.

袖も裾も長い
肩幅や胸周りに合わせると、袖も裾もかなり長め、袖は一折、裾は二折してちょうど。
