I purchased this drain pan for my GE Profile 5.5 cu. ft. front load washer (W28" x D38"), and the fit is just right. The material feels sturdy and well-made, providing good protection for the floor in case of leaks. The low lip design makes it easy to slide the washer in without any issues. It also comes with a drain fitting kit, which is convenient. Overall, this is a durable and practical product that gives me peace of mind knowing my laundry room floor is protected. Definitely worth it!

Like most people interested in the drain pan, I was interested in having a pan to protect from potential leaks for our washer and steam dryer. I had the additional requirement that the pan be large enough to capture potential leaks from a mini water hammer arrestors that we installed on the washer and dryer, which juts out approximately 4-5 inches from the washing machine. Inner dimensions: ~28" x 33" (approximately how big your washer can be to snugly fit in the pan) We ended up getting a pan that was larger to accommodate our machine as well as some additional gap space to cover the arrestor and hoses. Durability: The plastic is pretty durable. Because of the dimensions and orientation of the machines and the room, I used the tilt and shimmy approach to get the pans underneath each machine. The walls of the pan didn't suffer any observable damage from the temporary weight of the washer while I was doing the tilt&shimmy. Potential for Pan to Move Around during Washing: My washer sometimes vibrates when it has a heavier load. And, I've noticed on my tile floor that the machine along with the pan will move across the floor a little due to the vibration. Some type of pad between the pan and floor should alleviate that inconvenience. Our Experience: Overall, we're very happy with the purchase. We even had to exercise its intended purpose when discovered a slow leak from the water arrestor / machine interface, due to an insufficiently tightened arrestor. The pan captured the dripping leak overnight before it could cause problems. We didn't need to use the PVC drain interface, since our home isn't setup for to accommodate one. Otherwise, some cutting of the pan would be involved. They have template holes imprinted on the pan for those that need it. Shipping: One issue that I did encounter was that the box that the pan came in had evidence of termites. Some remnants of termite wings were on one of the pans that was shipped. And, we found one living termite in the box. Clearly not an issue for the integrity of the pan itself, but not something you'd want to introduce into the home. I'm sure it was an aberration, but worth making note of just in case.

Perfect for my needs. I am using it as a tray for doggie pads for my pad-trained Yorkie.

Needed a drain pan for our new washing machine per our lease— I looked high and low and felt like I couldn’t find anything that worked with the dimensions of our GE Profile Front-Load Washing Machine (5.3 cubic ft.), until I found this. It fits PERFECTLY! Just enough room around the edge that a shop vac attachment could slip in to get water out in case of an emergency, but not too much overhang, and definitely not too snug. The only downside is having to drill your own hole for the included drain, but I think that’s pretty minor and better than having perforated holes that could fail in other spots.

My use case for this Drain Pan is a little different ... I used it to make a DIY Pee Pad for my dog. Originally I wanted to buy a Porch Potty but when I found out is was $259 (USD) I decided to build my own. This drain pan provides ample room for your dog to do his or her business. I bought some good quality artificial turn from my local hardware store and after cutting it to size laid it into the drain pan. The end result was perfect ... a large doggie pee pad for under $75 dollars. This drain pan is strong and durable. For the past 11 months It's been outside on our deck with the sun shining on it and temperatures as high as 35ºC and as low as -30ºC. The pan hasn't chipped, cracked or faded in the sun. Overall I'm very please with this drain pan. It's well made, durable and works great for my unique use case .... A DIY Doggie pee pad.

I paid a plumber to place this drip tray on a plywood frame so that a drain could be installed below it to take any water that leaked out of the washing machine straight outside. For some reason, the designers of this product have designed it so that the overflow pipe sticks up approximately a centimetre above the bottom of the tray. Thus, when water is released into the tray it just sits there until it reaches quite a high level and then there is no way to drain it through the drainage pipe. So it gets a star for catching the water and not letting it leak directly on to the floor. If you have a way of sucking up dirty water - other than through a straw - this might be good enough for you. If you're not into that sort of thing or don't own a straw or a water hoover then it will not, I imagine, be of much help to you - if, like me, you want it to drain the water away. Instead, like me, you will have to soak the lot up with a towel or similar and then put the towel in a bucket or similar and then cart it outside and hurl it into the garden in frustration. Yay!! Wine first.
