Makes Climbing Easier
I went from a 32T to this 30T and it helped me climb hills better. Easy to install with the right tools and a work stand. I did not have to shorten my chain. This will lower your top speed.

Puzzling Design
Seems like a lot of parts 10 by my count. Not sure why Shimano didn't punch it out in one piece like everyone else. Would have been half the weight. Works fine. Smooth like butter in operation. Don't think I would buy another like this, but I'll roll this one until one of us gives up.

WHAT a difference TWO teeth makes !!!
My original MTB had a 30 tooth chain ring and a standard 12 speed cassette. My new MTB came with a 32 tooth chain ring and a standard 12 speed. Couldn't understand why I was struggling to find the right gear. Then it occurred to me .... might just be the chain ring change. Bought a 30 tooth, swapped it out and BAM ! Right back in the sweet spot !
