Lexan Sheet - Polycarbonate - .236" - 1/4" Thick, Clear, 24" x 48" Nominal

I installed these on my second floor dormer windows as hurricane shutters. Bolted on permanently so I don’t have to get on the roof to install during hurricane season. They went on well. Very very strong. Easy to drill for bolt holes without cracking or chipping. I used large washers, nuts and bolts for the install. Clear and invisible especially from the first floor. Worked out well. Lexan is the stuff to use over acrylic panels which crack and chip easily. Lexan is practically bullet proof. Very pleased.

This 24”x48” acrylic panels arrive in Puerto Rico in one piece . Very nice sturdy shipping package for the safety of the panels. Will recommend this to anyone that is looking for good acrylic for a reasonable price. In my case we want to build a sneeze guard using PVC frame and the acrylic for the safety of our personnel in a community pharmacy , making it safe for our patients too.

Worked great. Easy to cut but sturdy. I used this with some wood to create a cat door for the greenhouse. I can keep the door partly ooen for air but with a cat door cut into this the cats get in and out.

I used this to replace the old 3/32" Lexan windows on my garage door. During 2018 hurricane season I put tape on the old windows to make them sturdier. That was right before a close call. The Lexan might not break but the flimsiness of the wafer thin Lexan might not hold up. I decided to not take any chances this coming hurricane season and bought this heavy duty 1/4" Lexan. I could not find this stuff locally, only the very thin stuff for the same price as this. This piece of Lexan was just big enough to make four 18.5" X 11.25" windows.Kudo's to the seller as this arrived very fast and was very well protected. If I need more I know where to get it from.Look at the thickness of the two pieces of Lexan in the middle photo. Which would you rather have during 100+ MPH winds. This 1/4" Lexan is almost three times thicker! Now to drill out all the screw holes and install bolts with washers.

The cut was a tiny bit smaller which was great. It was easy to work with. Was able to carefully bend into a snug space.

We ordered two 2x4 sheets. The actual items arrived with the corners chipped and rounded from shipping. There was nothing but a thin piece of crumpled brown paper half the size of the actual product to "protect" during shipping.There was NOTHING protecting the corners in a box that was to big for the items and allowed for a lot of movement.It took F-I-F-T-E-E-N days to get here instead of the 4 that prime had said it would. I lost 2 weeks waiting on this, after a few emails the seller did refund the shipping costs.The product seems nice quality, but I will look elsewhere when purchasing more. I'm honestly surprised with major lack of packaging it didn't arrive shattered. Not going to risk it again.
