Reloading Primer Pocket Uniformers Large/Small

This does seem to uniform primer pockets, but I was hoping it would also help with some military crimps, but it simply will not help you in this regard. Not going to ding it for that, because it is not advertised as a military crimp remover. Works great on my RCBS case prep machine and seems well made.

Product arrived as described and well packaged. Product is of good quality and has worked well for my projects. Have used the small pocket tool in an extender attached to a power driver to reform around 3,000 pieces of 9mm brass cases, so far only 2 cases failed to accept primers. Failure rate too small to investigate. For the price a good tool.

These cut cleanly, but DON'T cut until you reach the shoulder of the tool - your primer pockets will be too deep. No depth stop and no way to add one that I can see. Tried to find contact info for the company to see what the solution was and came up empty handed.

Seems to do the job well I have Jenn using it for a while now. I don’t think it’s dulled at all yet. Don’t need to push and force it, I just let the cutter do it’s job.

The large primer pocket uniformer appears to work but the small primer pocket uniformer was too large for the primer pocket on several different calibers. I measured the diameter of a small primer and got 0.1745". The diameter of the small primer pocket uniformer measured 0.1760". The primer pocket needs to be smaller than the primer and the uniformer would have enlarged it. The package says 0.163" for the small uniformer and it was more then 0.01" over size.

These pocket uniformers are as good or better than others I have. The price is very reasonable for what you get. They fit my RCBS and Lyman handles just fine, and they are large enough to chuck in a drill if I'm working on a bucket load of brass.

I have been using the McJ Primer Pocket Cleaners and decided to give these a try. I have been very happy with them. They make uniforming the primer pockets easy and it shapes the pockets so that the cleaners even more effective. That's a win-win. Those cleaners clean great and are very durable.
