Does exactly what it says it will do.
This little encoder does a fantastic job, so far. I didn't know what to expect out of such a small device. I've had a really hard time finding a reasonable way to get a 4K/60 signal to a really old 720p/30 TV in the kitchen. Other adapters I've tried don't support frame rate conversion even if you already have a scaler on hand, the frame rate still won't work if you need to go from 60 fps to 30. This one does it easily! Using this device: Plug it into power (a longer USB cord and a USB power supply would be a very nice addition to this package. The included USB is very short an no power block come with it.). Connect an Ethernet cable to it and a PC. Change your PCs IP address temporarily to be in the same range as the default IP on this device. Bring up the configuration interface I'm the web browser, change username/password, change network and video settings, and you're all set. I've pulled up the video feed with various RTSP video camera viewers and with VLC media player on PC and be Android based systems just fine. No problems. If you are using WiFi for your network, just know that those speeds are limited and shared across the network. 2.4GHz very easily gets interference from neighbors and equipment, so the speeds can be even slower. This network encoder has plenty of bit rate options, so if you have problems with your network, try lowering the bit rate. Out where I live, I have plenty of bandwidth so streaming to WiFi connected devices isn't a problem for me, but in congested high density areas, it could be an issue for you. Just know that they do have some options in the settings that may help you work around bandwidth limitations. I had a problem getting the latest firmware from the manufacturer's website so I let them know. They gave me an answer within a day or two, sent me the latest firmware directly, fixed their website, provided friendly and clear support. Very happy so far. I'm currently using this 1080p model with a Monoprice down scaler, and it's working great. It would be nice if the 1080p could accept 4k input and only output in 1080p or lower, but that only a minor issue. Their 4K model is rather expensive, especially if you're just trying to convert 4K down. The lag in the signal is about 2 seconds, approximately, which is quite acceptable! You're not going to use this for gaming, but for getting a video signal out across your network, it's fantastic.

Great product -- functionality of devices costing 4 times as much
Aside from a relatively low price, I was impressed that the device worked well in streaming to both YouTube and Dacast. Set up was easy. The administration GUI is straight forward and intuitive. When I did run into trouble with Dacast streaming, technical support accepted the problem immediately and provided a firmware update within a week. The company is responsive and technically competent. Although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as encoders costing four times as much, the streamed video is virtually identical. The size of the unit and the low power requirements make this ideal for portable streaming as well as studio streaming.

awesome!!!
When I first saw this item as the smallest HDMI encoder that confirms you can use it for streaming and shows all of the ports, I felt like it was gonna be more of a backup to the more expensive video encoders. After I have hooked it up and have been using it for about two weeks, I've been absolutely blown away with how amazing this thing is. I use this to live stream my tutorial video from my laptop to YouTube. Setup is extremely easy. The best part is it doesn’t require a proprietary power adapter. Also the package comes with a Type-C to HDMI adapter which is perfect for my use. 1080p HD streaming quality is better than I expected, haven’t had any problems with that so far. One thing I noticed was that this encoder can get power from the included Type-C adapter directly, which means this little tiny codec can run fine even without a USB power supply. This is awesome!!!

Handy device
I was looking for a way to stream video from a drone mounted DSLR to tablet. While testing it out I used my cable box as a source. Turns out to be an easy (but probably somewhat expensive) way to send cable box video around my home network using VLC. Now I can put up a video stream in a window on my desktop, view on Apple TV or on my phone. Latency isn't too bad, although buffering will cause sync issues across devices so if that's an issue you might want to look for another solution. There are occasional temporal errors and picture can look a little soft so probably not going to drive your 4K UHD monitor, but for just having the news or other stuff streaming in the background it's good enough.

Does what it says
Bought to live stream from a video camera in a car to YouTube - it's small and compact and does what it says on the tin. The Chinese to English documentation makes it a little confusing at first but the customer support is very helpful and quick at getting back to you

Compact, Affordable, and Reliable for Remote Use
This little encoder has been a great find. While it doesn’t come loaded with advanced features, it makes up for that with its compact size, low cost, and ease of setup. I had it running within minutes, and it’s been rock solid ever since. It’s especially well-suited for remote deployments where space, budget, and simplicity matter most. The stream quality is consistent, and the device handles the job without fuss. If you’re looking for a full-featured professional unit, you may want to look elsewhere. But if you need something small, cost-effective, and dependable for getting video over Ethernet/HDMI quickly and reliably, this is an excellent choice.
