Stay warm and protected in the Rancher boot from Bogs. This waterproof style is made to be comfortable in sub-zero temperatures, while the anti-fungal, odor-resistant sockliner promotes cleanliness. Best of all, the steel reinforcement keeps toes safe from harm - no matter where adventure finds you. BOGS built its first boot for Oregon farmers to deliver comfort whatever the weather. Today, we continue to develop functional footwear that helps get things done, no matter what you decide to do. We are BOGS: 100% comfortable in our own boots.

More comfortable than mucks. oilfield worker approved
Oil/gas field must have!I purchased these just to finally get something different than my plain old mucks.Boy am I happy I did. I will never wear my mucks again. My rubber boots are normally only saved for rain days on the rigs. These have turned into my everyday boot.-Insoles are FAR superior to muck. Slightly built out of plastic and very supportive. Normally my feet are slightly sore by the end of a 12 hour day on my feet. I haven't stopped wearing these since I bought them.-traction seems Better than muck. It was an issue for me. They aren't as much of a nice skate on wet metal.-they make your feet sweat just the same as mucks. It's the nature of the beast of rubber boots. Roll them down often to keep some airflow and buy a good boot dryer.-ridges on the heel makes them easier to take off. Yellow over the toe is nice just a little bit of color rather than the same boring black boot everyone else wears.-throw away your mucks and buy these. Seriously you will not regret it.

Good work boots
These are a good work boot. I work in the oil field and have historically worn Mucks Chore S/T's but anyone familiar with them know that while warm their soles can be very slick on ice or wet surfaces. These were recommended to me and I decided to give them a try. They are warm and have a much better sole for grip and traction. However they are very tight around the ankle and are tougher to put on. This surprised me because I always get my boots a half size larger to accommodate good socks for winter time and Dr Scholls insoles for those days when you are on your feet for 12+ hours. So I am hoping they will stretch out a little around the ankle- it's kind of a weird place to be tight especially considering they are stretchy around your calves.

Disappointed.
I really expected more. I figured when I bought the boots they would be a bit roomy and they are and that's not a problem. I also expected that they would hold up longer. I have had them for almost 2 months and have worn them for a good 5 weeks in total and 28 days of that was in a row. I work in the oilfeild on platforms over the water. Steel decks plane hard surfaces. The soles have held up alright, but in the time I have had them a rip had developed by the ball of my foot. I haven't looked into warranty but I will update it once I have done so. But not happy with them.

with great arch and ankle support for a slide on boot
I am 5'4" 115lbs and usually wear a size 6.5 women's. I got these in size 5 men's and they fit well in the foot, with great arch and ankle support for a slide on boot. If I wear super thick socks they feel tight, but the boot is warm enough to wear regular socks in the winter or working in a fridge. The calf is too wide to wear my pants over my boots, which would have been the safer option in my line of work (regular hot liquid and chemical handling) but tucking pants into boots is comfortable. Very short break in time. I'm 1 month into near daily use (brewing/beer production work) and there's no sign of wear or weak points forming.Bonus points for this boot coming in a size 4 men's for those who struggle to find safe work wear in women's sizes. Go bogs! You didn't even shrink and pink it!!

Awful for the 2nd time in a row~! Will not buy again. Extremely disappointed.
This is now the 2nd pair that split within a couple of weeks. I'm now out over $200 as I missed the return window for the 2nd time. I bought these boots specifically for my job that requires me to work in a lot of wet areas, both fresh & salt water, and the boots began splitting after 1 week. My feet started getting wet in the 2nd week and since these were so expensive, I could not afford to get yet another pair of boots and almost got a serious foot infection due to having to be in wet boots for 16 hours straight. This is completely unacceptable. A $20 pair of boots from Walmart has lasted me longer than this. I don't know what this company changed about their boots but they are most definitely NOT WORTH $100 and I would strongly recommend they go back to manufacturing their boots the way they used to. I'm extremely disappointed and upset. Amazon should look into extending the return policy on these boots as I'm sure I'm not the only customer who had them break within a short period of daily use!

Just bought my 3rd pair.
11/27/17 $108.75I wear these boots in a brewery, they last me about 8 months @ 50 hrs a week.Made a little bigger to make up for room to add additional insert.Constant crouching or positions that will give boots sharp bend will cause cracking in rubber at faster rate is the only negative I can think of.Make sure to size right or they won't fit as comfortable as they should. I got a size 12 for my first pair and then sized down to 11 after that, I also used Dr. Scholl's "Work gel" inserts for every pair I've owned. Not much else to say, other than I just recieved my third pair and will probably favor this boot untill discontinued.

Bogs Forge Steel Toe Boot
I bought these in expectation of working in Kuparuk, Alaska in an oilfield work environment. They are extremely comfortable and my feet never hurt wearing them for 15+ hours a day. The only downside for me is that I found them to be a bit too warm and insulated. I have a friend who apparently has colder feet than I, he loves his so far, so don't let this kill the boot for you. They are damn comfy and if your toes get cold frequently in cold environments you might want to try them out. They made my feet sweat though. Keep in mind this was during work in the Arctic Circle during March of 2014, weather was in -20 to 5 above and I would come in with wet socks. Wet feet = cold feet which were sometimes unbearable outside for long. The steel toe can get cold with wet feet. Since they are so waterproof, they held water inside and didn't disperse the sweat from my feet. They really are bulletproof and might be perfect for you but I have chosen to look for uninsulated boots from now on.
