Perfect choice for Midwestern stalking.
These boots are incredible. I have worn all sorts of boots in my life from lightweight approach shoes to full steel shank mountaineering boots. The Deer Tracker is as light as a regular height hiking boot with the warmth and ruggedness you'd expect in a tall hunting boot.. The out of box comfort is exceptional with literally no break in period required. The tongue and instep areas have no hotspots.I have waded through streams with water an inch from the top with no water reaching my sock. Something you need when you're looking for a deer in the often swampy woods of Michigan. With just a single pair of merino wool socks my feet stay plenty warm all day as long as I'm moving. Sitting in a blind on a snowy November day my toes started to get cold after two or three hours of inactivity.. I'd recommend bringing toe warmers if you want to use these in a blind or treestand. But for cold weather deer stalking, rabbit, squirrel and upland game hunting they are perfect.Overall the best feature of these boots besides the comfort is the weight. The old adage "A pound on the foot is like five on the back" can be forgotten with these on.One minor gripe is about the toe caps. They are not a hard material like the heel, they are a tough fabric layer. But the camo print fades from the toe and sole area quite rapidly. Not a big deal if you don't care about cosmetics but a nice upgrade would be a more durable toe cap. These boots are a bit pricey but I have learned that good footwear is rarely cheap but always worth it. I got mine for 20% off during Amazons Veterans Day sale which saved me a few bucks

Ordered these in 12 wide after trying on some 11.5 wide vaportrech boots at a local store. They seem a little bit narrow at first, especially with heavy socks, but seem to have loosened up a little. They've made a great addition to the hunting gear that I've purchased this year. They're very well insulated, would have to stop periodically to keep my feet from sweating on the way to the blind, but once there they were nearly perfect. Would get a slight chill on my toes after a few hours, but nothing terrible. They have an aggressive tread pattern which is great for trying to pull a deer out of a creek bed like I had to. And the waterproofing kept my feet perfectly dry as well.

Very Comfortable. Great Boots
I was leery of purchasing boots online without checking my size in the particular brand. I do order Wolverines online because I know I wear an 11.5 in that brand. After checking a bow hunting forum where someone else had already asked the question regarding whether these boot runs small, I was confident that an 11.5 would fit. They did. Fit perfectly. As for comfort, they are incredible. Decently warm as well. Good insulation. Good, deep tread. They give you lots of confidence in the mud on hilly terrain. I have worn them hunting in the rain now on a couple of occasions with the weather in the low to mid 30s. Very comfortable boot.

These boots are awesome. right out of the box it is easy to tell that you're wearing a well made product. My biggest disappointment however came when I pulled both boots out of the box only to notice that the toe guard of one of the boots was faded so badly that it was almost white. For how expensive these boots are a defect like that just isn't what you would expect especially when they are obviously brand new. My only logical thought is that they must have been sewn on there with the product already being defective. It makes me wander how long the material on the toe guard will last considering. I ended up returning them for another pair that hopefully will not have any defects but as usual Amazon makes returns pretty painless. Once I have broken in that pair sufficiently I will update this.

The only reason i gave it 4 stars is because of the way the boots fit. They were to narrow. The boots are very very light and the quality and craftsmanship seem good but that's just going off the looks of the boot. I couldn't wear them because they didn't fit me so i cant give anymore information. I had to get a refund and as always, Amazons customer service and return policies are outstanding.

Great boots for the price.
After field testing these boots for four years I am writing this review. They are extremely comfortable when broke in and as waterproof as the day I got them. The boots do provide a stable platform but are a little heavy. The only negative for these boots is the poor construction on the toes. After one season the boots started to show wear and is almost completely worn aware to rubber toes. Would but again.

Very warm boots. A little snug on width but other than that seem to be good. Looked at the same boots at Field and Stream much pricier. Advertised there as made in the USA but the tag says made in China! Haha! Go figure!

Too narrow.
I just received these in the mail. They are a great looking boot but are very narrow. Not what I would consider EE. If you have a wider foot I would not recommend ordering these online. Go try them on in the store.
