Fixed our broken microwave hood vent
The hood vent on our LG microwave broke and would not stay closed. After some YouTube research it seemed like a pretty easy fix. Ordered this part, removed a few screws holding the hood vent to bottom of microwave, replaced the latch/locker piece, and put the screws back in place. I was able to do it myself, but may be helpful to have a pair of second hands. The hood is working like new again. The only negative would be the price of this part, it's a very small plastic part and $20 seems a bit much IMO for what it is, I just hope it lasts longer than the original.

Perfect match. Easy install. Take out 8 screws pop out broken piece Push in and reinstall screws. Took about 2 minutes

Problem solved!
I've been grousing for years about my microwave because the pull out "hood" wouldn't hold in the retracted position. Too cheap to hire someone to come and diagnose/fix it, then I saw someone on youtube who fixed the problem with one of these. Worked for me too, no complaints
