If they do have metal clips, that fixes the main weakness of this item
I purchased this on February 8, 2018. It came with plastic clips, which unfortunately break pretty easily. It's obviously a problem as it came with two extras. However, I've used it perhaps 15 times now and just broke my second one, so I'm currently out of replacements (and don't see any clips for sale on Amazon to easily purchase for more replacements).Overall the product works great. I live in an apartment and don't have somewhere outside I can dry out my gear, so I use a spray and just hang it up in the closet and it works perfectly. I put my shoulder pads, hockey pants, gloves, elbow pads and knee/shin pads all on it, no problem. And that still leaves two straps left open for jerseys or sweats, etc.If the company realized the weakness of it's product and adjusted to switch to metal clips, that's excellent. If they're lying about the clips, that really not good.EDIT: Their website says the following: "10 powder-coated, zinc alloy clips (an improvement from original plastic)." So perhaps the person who purchased this and got plastic clips was getting the last of the old inventory.I'd love it if they made the metal clips available for separate purchase.

Must have for hockey travel!
The Ultimate Sporting Gear Hanger 2.0 is a must have for travel hockey. We just used this during a tournament and it worked really well. One thing to note is that this weighs a fair amount without equipment so it would be good to hang it on the bathroom door or in the actual closet in the hotel room. The metal clips worked perfectly to keep a hold of all the equipment. It was very easy to get things on and off. Can't wait to use this at future tournaments!

Perfect solution
This is such a great solution! This finally got the hockey equipment off my livingroom floor and into the closet to dry. I purchased two--one for adult gear and one for a child's--and everything fits perfectly.

Great except for the price
The product is awesome as it saves a ton of space for me to air out my ice hockey gear. The only thing I hated was the price as $45 for a hanger is crazy but there is no other product on the market that is similar so nothing you can do.
