NKJV Amplified Parallel Bible (Hardcover): Large Print Edition

I purchased this bible for my hubby for Christmas.He loves his new bible while teaching.It is easy to read and understand the other translations when focusing on a verse passage.I had to get a hardcover so that it can last longer rather than a soft back.

The inspired word of God. Wow! I love this Bible because it has great size print and I love I've always wanted a parallel Bible that has two translations I prefer the new Kings James version and the amplified version side by side It is a great way to learn more in scripture.

The comparison, but mainly stay with the amplifier this visible is amazing

I normally wait before reviewing but this i can review out of the box. Wonderful! Love having my favorite interpretations side-by-side. The large print guarantees hours of reading without the eyestrain I've been experiencing after 30 minutes. Lost my Bible during a very tumulchuous time and really didn't have time for it's loss to register so I started using the Internet and various apps to continue learning. When I open a the box, removed the plastic and held it, my eyes filled with tears, my heart filled with joy and a huge sense of relief encompasses my whole being. Thank you. I know I'll enjoy it.

This is a wonderful Bible for easy reading and understanding!

Before making a buying decision there are several things you might want to know about this book.1. Since they have two translations in one book the font is small. There are 10 lines of type per vertical inch. This should not bother you if you use it to examine a few verses at a time. It is certainly not designed for extended reads of many pages at a sitting.2. The paper is very thin. It is best to raise the page your are reading by a finger width from the next page. This will reduce the amount of show-through of the type on the other side of the page.3. I am giving it four stars because of the low quality binding which Hendrickson is notorious for. It is a paperback binding with stiff covers. You can spot this by placing the book on a table and opening it in the middle. You will notice that the spine is flat and the pages descend into the ravine between the left and right pages. This makes for reading fatigue because the words descend into the ravine making them hard to read.

My wife and I both love it. We were both brought up with the KJV but like the NKJV/AMP better. I like the ease of comparison of verses and see how the KJV verses sound in a more updated language more commonly heard today.We enjoyed using it for the first time at Bible Study last night. Our bible was easy to read with black print on white paper insteadof ivory. Verse in NKJV next to the Amplified verse was great. We are studying the ancient names of God, for instance, "EL ELYON".Very nice book of the word of God in two translations side by side. Thank you very much.
