Jack Black Beard Lube - Beard Conditioner for Men

I’ve tried every type of shaving cream, foam, gel, etc. and this is my favorite. It’s different than other options because it’s more like a lotion so it takes some time getting used to how it works, but once you do it becomes clear that it performs really well. It’s easier to see where/what you’re shaving, it’s very smooth, and it feels nice on the skin. I initially balked at the price, but you need so little for every shave that the bottle lasts me about 3 years(!) so it works out to be pretty cost effective.

beard lube. sounds weird. lube. beard lube. im a shaving cream shaver. or at least i was. i got a sample pack type grooming kit for xmas last year. used the cologne and the lotion in it and it was good stuff. didnt use the 'beard lube' though. thought it was silly or something. just used my plain old shaving cream. little more info on me: my neck is f'ed up as far as how the hair grows. some grows up, some grows down...sideways..its all over the place. i get ingrown hairs and red bumps on my neck after shaving quite often because of this. it sucks. so one day i unfortunately ran out of my beloved shaving cream. faced with not shaving, shaving with some hand soap or using the 'lube' i went with the lube. i went with the lube. figured i had nothing to lose. . the beard lube makes a difference. its different to shave with. its not thick like a shaving cream. its almost like theirs nothing there. it doesnt take much either. and its clear. so when your shaving, its almost like theres nothing there. anyway, i used it that day and afterwards my neck wasnt red. none of the usual bumps. hmmmm....i tried it again the next time i shaved. same results. soon after the sample bottle ran out. oh well..back to the standard shaving cream. and the return of the red bumps and all that. a quick trip to amazon and im ordering up more beard lube. couple days later its here and my shavings changed forever. does it cost more than regular shaving cream? yes. can i pick it up at the local grocery store? no. is it worth it? yes. when this bottle runs out, ill buy another. possibly 2 so i wont have to order again so soon. bottom line is, it makes a difference. if you have sensitive skin and problems like i described above, then this might be worth trying. even if you dont, you should try it. its good stuff. . shave on brothers....shave on.....

I'm a big fan of 'wet shaving'. I have been shaving with straight razors, shavettes, and DE's for over 10 years now. One of the things I hate is all of the stuff you have to accumulate. Just to make lather you need soap, a brush, and a bowl (yes I know you can make it in your hand or on your face, but the lather isn't as good that way in my opinion). Jack Blacks Beard Lube cuts that down a lot. The lather I get from this is as good as any of the shaving soaps I've used. It allows the blade to slide smoothly along the face, softens the hair, and allows you to cut the hair easily. The best feature of it is that it goes on CLEAR. That means I can actually see the hair's I'm shaving, and I can also see the direction of the hair growth. This is very important for me when shaving the neck and shaving with the grain of the hair. I would imagine this would be VERY helpful to a beginner of wet shaving too. Less shaving items + clear lather + great performance = winner. Plus, a little goes a long way. I bought this bottle 6 months ago and I still have tons left. Granted I don't shave every day, and when I do I just shave my neck, but I still think it's a great value. It also washes off easily, and it won't leave any residue on your straight razor.

I love this lightweight, comfortable shaving cream. I use it primarily on my "light shaving" days. A go-to product that is forgiving on my skin and gets the job done. The price on Amazon was as good as/better than anyplace I can find it in stores.

Great for your face. I have been using this exclusively for years. My skin is sensitive and this works wonders. Highly recommended.

This is a massive container with enough "lube" to last years for someone like me who shaves only every other day. It takes some getting-used-to if you're accustomed to creamy shave gel, but the bottom line is that it does the job.

I was using the whole Art of Shaving system with the pre-shave oil, the unscented shave cream and the aftershave balm. The product line is nice but I was still getting the occassional cuts and nicks and my skin was still irritated after shaving (especially on the neck). After reading other reviews on Beard Lube, I decided to give it a try. The product goes on clear and leaves a thin layer of product on your face. For those like myself, this was unsettling as I have always had thick, white lather on my face. On my first experience with this, I didn't like it mostly because it was just something very different that I wasn't used to. I decided to give it a second try and have an open mind and I was amazed at how good it was. The shave was much faster than going through the whole wet shaving badger ritual. I had no irritation whatsoever and no cuts or nicks! zthe shave was closer than any shave I have had with other products using the same razor. The product also leaves your face feeling moisturized. You really could get away without using a post shave product but I use one anyway. The product rinses clean and doesn't leave gunk on your blade. My Gillette ProGlide blades seem to last about 2-3 extra shaves more than when I used the AOS product line. I think I've settled on my shaving product and am very satisfied with this. I also bought a 3 oz bottle for travelling (it's nice not to have to deal with a shave brush when travelling!) **Update, still loving this stuff. I tried a few other shaving products and still think this one is my favorite. Can't recommend it enough!**

El precio del producto es más elevado que otras opciones pero la calidad creo que merece la pena. Además de que un bote da para mucho. He estado afeitándome con uno más de 6 meses y aún no lo he acabado (3 o 4 afeitados por semana, barba normal, ni muy poblada ni rala). Sirve para afeitado con cuchilla como con máquina eléctrica. El eucalipto le da un ligero aroma y toque refrescante y la jojoba una buena untuosidad que recuerda a cremas clásicas del pasado (cuando todavía se formulaban con grasa animal). Diría que ambos ingredientes se complementan bien sin llegar a ser un frescor excesivo ni tampoco una textura muy densa ni aceitosa, bien lograda en ese aspecto. Se extiende bien de forma que queda prácticamente transparente permitiendo buena visibilidad durante el afeitado. El enjuagado es sencillo y deja la piel bastante hidratada. En ese sentido creo que cumple con lo que anuncia de los tres beneficios en uno (pre, durante y post afeitado). Aún así se puede aplicar algún after shave ligero después de su uso. La he añadido a mis compras recurrentes. Soy algo exigente en este tipo de productos sin guiarme por precios ni marquitis. En este caso, como digo, buena calidad y precio acorde aunque sin ser excesivo. P.D. He comprobado que con cuchillas con poco espacio entre las hojas llega a tupir al poco rato bastante de crema y pelo las mismas siendo difícil su limpieza. Quizás haya que considerarlo sí se usan de ese tipo. Me paso con Gillete básicas desechables de 2 hojas. No obstante no considero que sea un factor para restarle puntuación ya que sólo ocurre con algún modelo y de gamas que no sería habitual que se usen en combinación con una crema de este precio en teoría.

This is all my hubby ever uses for shaving. He loves the way this product softens his beard, and it makes shaving a much more comfortable experience. The application isn't heavy like most shaving products because it feels like a moisturizing lotion. We both like the scent - the eucalyptus is subtle and refreshing.
