Long spear
Not what I was expecting but not bad either. I purchased the largest of the spear heads and what you should know is its blunt edged. There is no edge at all. So as a display or prop its perfect. It is rough you can feel the waves and hammer marks in the steel. The plus side is it is good steel and theres enough meat on it to work down to a usable spear head. I rarely if ever like the factory edge on anything and planned on spending time re-edgeing the spear anyway. What you need to know is its a quality unfinished spear head. Well worth the price but it will require work to be usable. For a prop or display it is good as is. Still i am pleased with this purchase.

solid piece of metal, but...
BLUNT EDGES, very blunt. required a lot of file work to get it to battle edge, not razor sharp...waves in the metal, bent 4 inches from the tip, but within tolerance of a hewing/thrusting spear....varying thickness throughout the blade.Workable....

An awesome weapon, but EXTREMELY challenging to wield on a long spear. With appropriate training, you can have hours or years of enjoyment with a surprising fitness benefit. Working the long spear requires and develops core strength along with correct posture and body mechanics. While I recommend a butt cap or counterweight of some kind, this spear head is well worth the price if you’re looking for a heavy weapon. Cancel your gym membership and learn to prevail against multiple attackers with this beast of a blade!

Love just want heavier
Love it, it just needs to be heavier I am a good sized man and with the counter weight it was still a bit light but looks great well worth the buy

Not battle ready. I was so disappointed.
Spear had ripples from hollow shaft to tip of spear.not sure if the shaft is welded to the spear head. It’s just a fair show piece.

It's big.
Spear head was alot bigger than expected which is good. Obviously hand made double edge is not sharp or evenly straight. This adds to its uniqueness. I want to top a walking staff with it.

Definitely buy
This spear is simply phenomenal I love it and you will too. The head itself is really large which is what I wanted it is also heavy and easy to sharpen if you want to sharpen it. The blade comes blunt for safety and that also makes it 10 times easier to haft. If you love history and midevil weapons you will not be disappointed definitely buy! #not_a_bot
