A different take on Resident Evil
I was introduced to the Resident Evil franchise by Resident Evil 4 (A GREAT GAME). Since then I have played almost all the Resident Evil titles on Playstation platforms. And finally tried Umbrella and Darkside chronicles. To those who don't know anything about this series, it is a mix of horror and action adventure (mostly adventure). Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles takes few particular scenarios from Resident Evil 1-3 and lets you experience them in totally different way. This game is a rail shooter (First Person Shooter with Wii mote) unlike the first three games. Below are some pros and cons of the game. PROS. - Wii mote works: First and foremost Wii mote works well for most part making this experience fun. With dualstick controller this game can be difficult and making it on Wii with Wii mote is just the right thing to do. It is quite enjoyable to shoot enemies in all different corners of the screen. Choosing different weapons is easy to do and using them to destroy enemies in varieties of the ways is just PRICELESS. -Bosses: Other than zombie humans and animals, I LOVE BOSSES in Resident Evil games. This game reanimates some of my favorite bosses from first three games and I tell you it is fun as hell fighting with them once again but in different style. -Features bonus episodes: While most of the scenarios are from games, it also has bonus episodes that were not in original games. Some of these are pretty good. Don't want to spoil much, but there are some AWESOME NEW BOSSES. -Can play as Wesker: This to me was awesome. While the voice actor for him is not as good as in RE 5, hearing different dialogues from him can be quite fun. Wesker has his own separate episodes which are not in the original game. -Different episodes, different characters: Most episodes allow you to play as two different characters and these two characters can vary from Jill, Chris, Barry, Rebecca etc. etc. each with their own unique melee attack. -Multiple paths in same episodes: You can go different different paths in some episodes which will introduce you to different environment and at times different enemies. - Two player mode can be fun. CONS. -Movements can be restrictive: You can only control where you aim and look, you CANNOT CONTROL WHERE YOU GO (other than alternate paths). A big con. - Graphics not so good: It is on Wii so I don't blame the developers. -Voice Acting is not so good: Unlike recent resident evil games (RE code veronica, RE 4 and 5), it does not have great dialogues, but none the less unlike many games they are not stupid either. All and all for Resident Evil fans, I would say they would certainly enjoy it. For others this game can be fun on EASY mode as it is a decent rail shooter.

Buy this game, Rail Shooter Fans!!
Just loved this game so much. I really wanted to get that Arcade railshooter feel and this totally hit the mark and not to mention it was Resident Evil themed made it all the better to be honest. If you are deciding which one to buy, The Umbrella Chronicles or The Darkside Chronicles, BUY THIS ONE! It is infinitely better. Playing through the Umbrella Chronicles was a great and fun experience. The Darkside Chronicles was just painful. The Umbrella Chronicles captures that classic rail shooter feel without the ungodly difficulty placed upon the player like in the House of the Dead games. If you are rail shooter fan, buy this game and the light gun mounts. You will not regret that choice.

GREAT GAME
This is a great game, It began with a Resident Evil Zero story and have many great scenarios, I loved taking the challenge of beatIng the stage bosses, I think CAPCOM with this games redefine the classic Resident Evil games that we used to have at the second generation of gameconsoles (Gamecube and PS2),in this type of game the characters moves himself, you only have to worry about aim sharp to those annoying zombies, first rent it and if you like it buy it, you won' regret. Regards.

Great game
This was a great game to play. I had so much fun going back and replaying all the classic games in a new way. It's not exactly a remake of RE0, RE1, and RE3, its more of a retelling so those that missed out on those games for the older consoles, can catch up know whats going on. I would definitely recommend this game to RE fans but I can't say that about RE: Darkside Chronicles.

Very Well Done
This is by far one of the best Wii games available right now. The story arc covers all the major Resident Evil games excluding number four. Shooting breakable items to find items and unlockables makes for some good replay value and keeps the levels a bit more interesting. The graphics look very nice for a Wii game and the atmosphere stays true to the RE series with some "shock" moments and big boss battles. A good variety of enemies to keep you guessing a bit and nicely implemented story keep the game pretty fresh all the way through. Two player co-op could have used bit more work. The game is EXACTLY the same while playing in two player mode making it quite easy with two players but a little too tough at some points with only one player. I found myself grabbing the wife from time to time during my single player romp just to help me past a difficult area. Overall a MUST HAVE for Wii owners and RE fans alike.

Classic Arcade Shooter
This is a great item for any resident evil fan who likes to play with friends. Most Resident Evil games are traditionally one player only as they are very lengthy story/puzzle game. This installment is actually a cool arcade shooter spin on the series. Great for playing by yourself or with a friend!

Excellent take on a resident evil game. Its an arcade style house of the dead type game. Using the wii blasters makes the game so much fun!! If you don't like house of the dead type gameplay, skip this game. For me; Awesome!!
