Surprisingly Returned the unit! 4 stars but please read below.
This is a fair and honest review, after having ownership of this for two months. No, I was not paid, a vine member, or anything liek that to write this review.PROUCT SUPPORT (5/5) Would give higher if possible, seriously do not have any doubts about the communicaiton.I wanted to start off and say how PERFECT the support team is, seriously.I have bought hundreds (maybe a thousand) items off Amazon (using prime). This company, by far, has the fastest response time I have ever dealtt with, Each response within hours, a phone call, and very interested in getting complete satisfaction.-ROUTER INTERFACE (4/5)I purchased this router two months ago, and it is a breeze to setup like others had said below. You can easily modify settings with the touch icons, a very nice feature. You can adjust 2.4 bands, 5ghz bands easily, along with their passwords. The app is simple you can download on your iPhone or Android, however is effective in terms of small changes.-ROUTER PERFORMANCE (3/5)YOU WILL LIKE THIS ROUTER IF.You need a simple dual band router with good 2.4 performace and range.Do not use thr 5ghz band reliably and do not need a lot of range. You have a small/medium sized apartment or house with LITTLE interference.Need a router that can have down time now and again, but can reset it time to time (disconnected once a week for me).Do not need to modify advanced settings or do not have a huge knowledge base in a router-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------YOU WILL WANT TO RETURN THIS ROUTER LIKE ME IF.You expect the 2.4 AND 5ghz band to have great performance and range. Can take advantage of the 5ghz band, or have a lot of devices.Want a large 5ghz range, this simply does not fit the bill.Want a reliable router that rarely needs restarting.Have a lot of interference and trafficSUMMARYYou may ask, why would I rate this 4 stars if I returned the product?1.) For simple, a majority of the users, this router is perfect for them. Low maintenance, good 2.4 band with only occasional disconnects.2.) A simple 5ghz band is useful if you have a small house or apartment3.) Again, users that don't have a lot of tech knowledge will love the touchscreen (with stylus included). Options can be changed easily. For me, we live at an apartment with high traffic, and I have two roomates who also stream netflix, browse internet, use XBOX one online, etc. This router does a commendable job, but we get 20mbps download speed (verified with an ethernet connection to router) and this should stream all these at once. Even streaming all at HD (and we are all within 30 feet of the router, on 5ghz or 2.4ghz band) will not exceed 15mbps which we never do anyway all at once. This product again is perfect for the AVERAGE family of 3-4 or users with little tech knowledge.I rated this so high because customer service actuallt returned the product free of charge to me even after two months, and it did perform very well, just not what I expected it to do for $99. I would recommend it to SOME clients I have in my business, but not nearly all of them.Any questions feel free to ask below. Again, a fair and unbiased reciew I felt like I owed this company to write.

It IS super easy to set up but it can forget its settings.
UPDATE October 29, 2015I've downgraded my review to four stars after what just happened.I use the HS as a Range Extender to send a strong signal to my new expensive 4K TV. I unplug it when not in use. After several days of it being unplugged I discovered that it forgot it's settings, and failed to send the signal from my router. Instead it grabbed onto one of the six other wifi signals in its range (I live in an apartment) and sent that much weaker signal to my TV. The TV ignored that signal. I thought my new TV was broken. Now that I learned that the HS can forget its correct signal source I will have to manually set it up each time I use it.I am warning you about this so you don't experience the scare I did.UPDATE: October 9, 2015.HomeScreen sent me a replacement device which works perfectly. It remembers the wifi settings when turned off. Powering it up connects the HomeScreen to my network flawlessly, without any action on my part. It makes an excellent Range Extender. I upgraded my review to five stars and changed my review headline. This device is perfect for anyone with little or nonexistent technical knowledge who wants to connect a router or range extender with little effort. For those with more technical knowledge and/or patience there are other routers on the market with more features and which actually cost less. Some of those might have a stronger signal which would eliminate the need for a Range Extender, depending on your specific home layout and nature of intervening walls.=======================================================================================================My original review follows.........I am using this device as a Range Extender so my comments are limited to that function. It was fairly easy to set up, following the onscreen prompts and the text instructions on their website.I gave it four stars instead of five for these reasons:1. After it is setup the display shows that it is connected to the Cloud and not working as a Range Extender, even though it is working properly. This is disconcerting. This defect occurred after I updated it to the latest software, CA1-R064. It was not an issue with the software that initially came on the device. It is embarrassing when guests ask me about the erroneous display.2. It does not remember the settings from one power-on use to the next. So you must manually go through all the steps to set it up each time. It would be better if it could retain the settings, such as remember which Wi-Fi connection is mine, without me having to tell it each time.3. The bonus features of time and temperature appear to not work in Range Extender mode.4. It takes about 3 minutes (I timed it) to fully boot up once powered on. I only power it on when I want to extend the Wi-Fi range, not when I am sitting at my PC. Three minutes seems like a long time when you are waiting for something to work.Despite the above negatives, I do recommend this device for use as a range extender.
