When my son entered daycare, I was getting sick every 2-3 weeks. I tried all the name brand fizzing powders, fizzing tablets, and capsules that I cannot mention by name in this review. I also tried magnetic necklaces. I was talking to a chiropractor at the gym one day and he mentioned the Perque Potent C guard and told me to take a 1/2 heaping teaspoon twice a day at the first onset of symptoms for at least a week. Worked like a charm. Now this stuff is a bit expensive and used to be a lot harder to find before Amazon started carrying it, but it's worth it. I also add some lemon flavoring to it - either powder or liquid flavor enhancer to just make it more enjoyable - otherwise it tastes like sour metal (to me). Make sure that you keep it sealed and not exposed to oxygen as much as possible. What makes this unique is that the vitamin C is not exposed to O2 and thus is not oxidized. For me this means that once opened, the bottle only lasts about 6 months before starting to turn yellow. Once you start to get yellow clumps it is not as effective. Leave the desiccants that come with it in the powder as this helps.

We've been buying this for a few years. Its a great product. I use it twice a day. Like some others, I initially struggled with keeping the vit c from getting moisture. Now I keep a small jar of it that I refill from this large bottle. In the large, bottle I add some extra moisture reduction pods. That bottle stays in the cabinet and I only open it once every 2 weeks to refill my small one. This system is working out perfectly. My vitamin c lasts until I finish the bottle.

Very clean vit C. Use it frequently for lung detox.

I’ve been using this product for about a year or so. It’s the only Vit C I use for my family and so far has been very effective keeping us well when using it as a preventative or at the onset of an illness. It does have a very strong sour citrusy flavor so I find mixing it with orange juice or organic apple juice best masks the flavor for my kids.

I used this product for a vitamin C flush. It was the only buffered C product I could find that met the requirements, so that my electrolyte balance would not be thrown off, during the flush. Not 5 stars just b/c it tastes like Alka Seltzer and feels like it going in and coming out. DON"T do a C flush if you have not reseached how to do it properly. See Dr. Teitelbaum's site for a good set of instructions. Also, I used almost the whole bottle (60 g), so if you are in a poor state of health and want to continue to take the C (for supplement or for constipation) you will need the bigger bottle. It is also a bit expensive but worth the $ b/c I know it is a safe product that is ususally only available to physicians

An excellent product. It has a good balance of l-ascorbate and electrolytes, from a trusted company. It dissolves nicely and tastes okay - i.e., it's not overly sour like some ascorbate powders. Some buffered "C" powders taste like chalk, because the calcium in them is literally made from chalk. This one has high quality minerals, which dissolve better and are better absorbed. In sum, I would say Perque Potent C Guard is a good choice for those who can afford it. But shop around first because even on Amazon, some vendors are more affordable. For those on tight budgets, I would skip this one and look for other buffered C powders. Just make sure they contain l-ascorbate.

Great for loading up on Vit C and a great colon cleanse per protocol. Been using it for years now.
