Adventure ready—but also sleek and feminine, there’s nothing this comfy sandal won’t do. Review: Tevas ARE cool! - Back in the early 2000's, my parents always wore the clunky, bright-colored, water shoe Teva sandals. I used to make fun of them because they were so hideous so it's been an ongoing joke in our family that I would never wear them....I just assumed all Tevas were fugly because of the ones my parents wore. The joke was on me when I told them I ordered a pair of Tevas for an upcoming medical mission trip to Guatemala! I wanted a pair of not-flip-flop sandals that I could walk around comfortably in for long periods of time, didn't take up alot of space in my pack (I only brought two pairs of shoes for the whole week, Merrell sneakers for working & hiking and these for everything else), could be worn in the water if needed...AND that aren't a complete eye sore. These were probably the most attractive, versatile sandals that met all of the things I was looking for. They are VERY comfortable and look good with pretty much everything! The strappy style makes it easy to dress up with a sundress, and the bungee cord color in particular looks great with jeans (I'm in my twenties if that matters at all). A bunch of other girls on the trip complimented and asked where I got them. As far as sizing goes, I usually wear a 9.5 wide if available because I have super flat and wide feet due to a genetic extra bone on both of my cankles (thanks dad). I read the reviews that these shoes were long so I went with size 9, which was the right choice! The normal width works for wide feet. The arch support on these shoes is perfect...it's just enough to help flat feet, without forcing too much of an arch that it causes foot pain. The sole is thick and sturdy, while still being relatively lightweight, which really helped when walking on the cobblestone streets of Antigua, Guatemala. I did a short easy hike in these shoes, but I would not recommend them as your only hiking shoes. If your feet get dirty they rinse of easily with water. I am traveling to Europe this summer for 2 weeks and plan on only bringing a backpack again so this will be the only pair of sandals I bring! The only negative I can think of is that my boyfriend still thinks they look a little geeky, but who cares what he thinks :P These shoes were well worth the $50 and will continue to be throughout my summer travels and camping trips in California. Now I see all the hype about Teva that my parents tried convincing me of for years! Yay Teva! Review: Wide foot approved! - ***Update: I have had these a year now and still LOVE them! They are starting to show their age a tiny bit but I use them constantly from March-November and I have not been gentle with them as mentioned below. Based off the superficial wear and tear on them halfway through their second summer, I figure I will get at least 3 summers of use out of them, they are definitely sturdy and well made. When these eventually die I will 10000% get another pair. *Original review: Let me start by saying I have very oddly shaped feet lol. I got them scanned at a running store once and every measurement was at the far end of their average spectrum. So while my length measures around a size 5.5-6 I'm in the 95th percentile for width so I usually have to wear a 7-7.5 wide shoe. All that to say this sandal is the best for my extra wide feet! And I tried around a dozen different pairs of similar sandles before finding these. I've had these about 3 months and I have put them to the test! Few days after purchase I spent 4 days in Vegas wearing these the whole time and walking 20,000+ steps a day around the strip. No blisters! And although my feet did hurt at the end of the day it was tired hurt from walking way more than usual and not the shoes fault. Next we did 3 days at Disneyland with days near 30,000 steps (one day was 15 miles of walking!). Again no blisters! I pretty much wear these anytime I'm not at work where I'm required to wear closed toed shoes since I got them. And after all the crazy use I've given them the last 3 months and they barely show any wear! Very very happy with this purchase! They are lightweight but still tough and comfortable. I also like that you can adjust both the ankle straps and the toe strap so people with weirdly shaped feet like me can adjust these easily.

Comfortable, cute, straps don't rub
Great for my problem feet! I tried these, the Tirras, and Hurricanes, and these are comfortable and wonder of wonders the straps don't irritate my bunions. Not as wide as the hurricanes but wide enough for my wide forefoot. Very pleased!

Well DRAT! (Hot and achy)
First, I have to say that I was nervous about a practical sandal looking this nice when on, and am pleased to report, they are super cute whether with pants, shorts, etc. The color is also great (more of a deep purple which gives a little more flair than black). They are also very well made and high quality -- even in pricier shoes, sometimes you'll see a bit of glue or bits that aren't PERFECTLY executed; in this case, everything about this sandal was. And, initially I swear I could have gone dancing in them. Here's the DRAT: * HOT: After wearing them around the house for about 2 1/2 hours, my feet were HOT. I mean, it was maybe 64 degrees inside and they eventually started sweating. Now, I'm a warm person normally but to put it in perspective, instead of wearing a sweatshirt and pants with socks and slippers and being comfortable, I was wearing a t-shirt and pants and these sandals. And my feet were hot; like sweat hot. As in, unless you have perfectly pedicured feet, expect these will give you that experience... * COMFORT Well, I did feel like I could go dancing in them but alas after wearing them for a couple of hours, my (left) foot started feeling achy in the ball of my foot. I can't say this is common for me and If I wear poorly made shoes, both feet hurt, not one. That said, it did initially feel highly comfortable and did give support, but drat; I wanted this to be a constant walking sandal with style. Also keep in mind we have hardwood floors everywhere so on concrete sidewalks/etc. I'm just not sure if it would be worst or the same. I did find the fit pretty true to size (I'm a tried and true shoe size of 10). Only one other item (as other reviewers have stated) is that there is a little too much room in front of the toes. I didn't find that this was an issue at all with the look, but twice (up the stairs once, then stepping over a door jamb), the front part almost caught. Drat again; while you can tighten the straps, there is still a little of give on the front toe. Once I "re-strapped" myself in to the tightest setting, it just wasn't serving my feet that well, so that did not solve the problem. All in all, I was so excited to love these, and even for the price tried to talk myself into it but alas; not for me. Perhaps for a younger person (under 40), these are not issues, but again, drat. I'm still giving the shoe 4 stars and I'm pretending that for a one star deduction, I'm unique with feet that get warm anyway, and maybe I have a deformed left foot that I don't know about.... So sadly

Good traction, like the padded heel and secure, adjustable straps.
I wore these for the first time on a 4-hour hike. They gave me good traction and thanks to the adjustable straps, they stayed in place and gave me zero blisters. The green color is the perfect neutral. Very happy with my purchase! Bought my usual size.

Total support
I received these sandals on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, I jumped into them as soon as I received them, did a 3 mile walk, the straps are comfortable, but the left little toe was a little agitated, no blister, just rubbed a little, I Losen the strap a little and it felt more comfortable. They support my instep, arch, and no calcaneus pain. April 2, 2026, did another 3 mile walk and no issues. They are keepers.

Comparing Teva Tirra & Verra, go for the Tirra!
I love Teva’s. I have been wearing them for many years, with Hurricanes being my first pair. Then I discovered Tirra about four years ago and of course instantly fell in love with those too. My husband says the Hurricanes are bulky/chunky looking , so he always prefers I wear the Tirra, but I have lake blue in the Tirra and that bright blue doesn’t always match everything. I love blacks and greys for sandals, so I decided on the Verra, plus it’s minimal looking with less straps and can be worn with anything. I have been reading reviews off and on for weeks now. Verra versus Tirra: Tirra are the ultimate in comfort, construction and overall feel. No rubbing anywhere, not even on my pinky toes, perfect arch support, you name it. Verra are not constructed quite as good. On the inside of the ankle strap, the part that hugs the inside of your foot and ankle, Verra appears to be just glued. Tirra is stitched very well, heavy duty type stitching. So that might be why some women have the straps eventually coming away from the shoe. Also, they differ on the bottoms. Tirra are straight up grippy rubber, the Verra I just got are part rubber (fronts and backs) but more like a compressed foam on the majority of the bottoms. The soles on Verra are visibly thinner than Tirra, but arch support is still pretty good. As for sizing, I wear a size 9 in Hurricanes, a 9.5 in Tirra and I had to order a 10 in Verra. I always wear 9’s in sandals, even my Birkenstocks are size 40 R. Style wise, Verra are cuter and more feminine looking but also the straps on Tirra are far superior. The material on Tirra seem to dry faster and is softer. Also straps have a cushioning fabric underneath where it touches your feet, Verra doesn’t. One last thing about comparing the two, the strap between both pieces of velcro that cover the ankle is much shorter on the Verra, which is why when you close that strap, it doesn’t cover the front of the ankle as well as Tirra. I am returning the Verra. My feet are hurting already, just from wearing them around the house. Based on my own experience, Verra seem like they are more for a narrow foot. I have one narrow and one medium width, but even my narrow foot is hurting. Hope this helps someone else trying to compare the Tirra and Verra models.

Comfortable, great looking sandals
I ordered this pair of Tevas for an upcoming trip to South and North Carolina. I had a different pair already, but they were more for hiking. These are great for walking, but they look great for restaurants and dressy places. I have flat feet and these sandals help with support. The top is adjustable around my toes so I can get a secure fit. I don't worry if it rains or they get wet. Overall, a great pair of sandals. Buy them soon, God knows what is going to happen with the tariffs.
