Mitutoyo 513-401-10E DIAL TI, BAS, STD 0.14 mm, 1 μm Accuracy, 0.001 mm, Yellow

My particular delivery met .0001 standard accuracy (2.5ish micron) for calibration department- and my calibration sheet from Mitutoyo lists my accuracy at 0.7 micron, but Mitutoyo themselves list the accuracy of this indicator at 4 micron possible permissible error. You could be getting a dial with an error ratio 4x the individual markings on the dial, so... caveat emptor, I guess. I thought it was rude for the seller to list 1 micron accuracy. I was super happy to return the thing if it failed in the calibration department, but I lucked out. Best to be aware you could be getting a product that IS what Mitutoyo guarantees, but doesn't meet the seller's label.

Mitutoyo is one of the most reputable brands out there. There are a lot of fakes, and my boss even managed to get some fakes from Amazon. These however are authentic, and real. Real machinist always can feel the difference in repeatability.

I own two of these for my job. They are accurate and dependable. I need to dial tooling in to 2 microns and this does the trick.
