Like a lot of people, I have some older Maglites at home collecting dust. I had bought a replacement LED bulb years ago and bought this to see if the tech had changed much. It is brighter than the old one. But I have a AA battery LED flashlight that is brighter. But this bulb did improve the light and made it more usable

Bright & perfect fit for my old dim two C cell MagLite.

Works fine. brighter more white light than incandescent. Expecting a brighter light but being only 2 cell MagLite you get what you get. Bought 2. One slightly dimmer than the other, not battery voltage.

It's a little dimmer than the incandescent equivalent, but much cheaper than buying a new flashlight. It was super easy to install too. I'd buy again.

I used them in my old mag lights, these bulbs are a lot brighter than the incandescent bulbs that the old mag lights came with. These bulbs are not as bright as some of the newer LED lights but they are plenty bright and have lower power consumption so the batteries last longer. I have one more light I need to upgrade will probably buy again.

With LED technology being as advanced as it is, there is no reason ANY LED single cell should be so dim. This bulb is barely a step up from an incandescent bulb. Value is negligible and the appearance is cheap. Does it work? ... Yes. Will you be impressed? ... Not a chance. Unless, of course, you're used to holding a birthday candle when the lights go out. Adjustability is based on the flashlight, not this bulb. It is compatible with the MAGLITE 2D cell flashlight, but the performance will leave you wishing you'd made a better choice. I did purchase another single cell LED on AMAZON that boasts 300 LM and that bulb performs quite well, is twice the brightness of clean white light and a scant $3.00 more. My recommendation: Don't waste your money on this one.

The bulb is easy to install and it’s definitely an upgrade from the OG incandescent bulb, this LED bulb puts out whiter and brighter light. With that being said, I hoped for a lot brighter, especially with current technology and give the size of both the bulb and the Maglite. If you have an old 2D Maglite it is worth upgrading to this LED bulb, and the price is less than $10. Now maglite is bright enough to keep in a storm kit at home, or as a back up in a vehicle. If all else fails: 2 D cells inside of a metallic MagLite can effectively adjust behavior if needed. ;)
