I had some issues with ordering from a supplier on Amazon.ca because they didn't have the table style that I wanted in stock so I had to settle for ordering from Amazon.com. For any Canadian customers, be advised if you order from Amazon.com you WILL get charged for customs & duties before it can be delivered to you. I live in Brampton, Ontario and customs/duties cost me approx $50cad.I love this table so much. It arrived in perfect condition, no damage at all to the table itself. There are instructions and a manual but its all in Japanese of course with picture instructions on how to assemble the table. It's very easy though, really just 4 screws and you're done. I chose this table because I have a large living room and I wanted a rectangular shape to accommodate guests more comfortably. It is a good size coffee table even if you live in a condo/apartment. The heater heats up super fast, and normally I never need to use it higher than the lowest heat setting (there is a dial). I like that there is a hook for the cord so that it doesn't get in the way of people's feet underneath the table.NOTE: I strongly advise anyone who lives in the US/Canada to buy a step-down transformer. Also, the legs on this table DO NOT fold.Overall, the table is awesome, it heats up quick, shipping was easy and arrived safely. Love how easy it is to assemble, how nice it looks when used as a regular coffee table, and the amount of heat it puts out when used as a kotatsu. Definitely recommend for cold climates.Just make sure to buy a 110/220 converter if you’re purchasing this for use in the U.S.

Very easy to assemble and Solid wood! I’ve had it for a month or so now and don’t regret the purchase at all! It is everything I was looking for! Super glad I didn’t rush buying the first thing I found. Wanted to make sure I was getting a table big enough for my family and this one is for sure. Definitely our hangout area for board games and more!

I loved this table but as the review title states, the heater broke and now I have to either just use the table as a normal coffee table or buy a replacement heater.

With a heater fueled by the embers of the mind … I can’t imagine this piece not fitting with any other. It doesn’t seem to need a transformer but I haven’t plugged it in yet. The height is perfect for dining on the floor. Insta-Zen, unobtrusive, a place to rest a cup or a bowl…

I love this Kotatsu, but the foundation part had a big dent when we got it. It was too troublesome to return and doesn't show the damage when we are using it, so we kept it. We were much happier if it came without the damage.

This is exactly what I was looking for. While it is a bit expensive, it is sturdy, pretty, and the heating element on the underside of the Kotatsu table heats up very fast. So definitely worth every penny!
