Could a launchpad be used as a basic midi drum pad in logic? I have Ableton but would be nice to use for basic functions on logic too.

It can be programmed to emmitt any CC, PC and MIDI music note. The Mini lacks velocity control so this is littetally a macro board! Spend the extra for Launchpad x

Looking to buy for my 15 yo. can you tell what computer system i need that will support it. do i need anything else other than a pc/ or apple.
