Monster Hunter: World - Official Complete Works

Amazing book! Got this for my partner as he introduced me to the Monster Hunter series, I figured he'd love the concept art of the creature design, and I was spot on. This book was exactly what he was looking for. Seeing the concept art for Odogaron's claws was such a strong hook as it is his favorite monster, that and the progression of all the monster designs over time makes this by far a worthwhile purchase.

Despite having a copious amount of time in the game, I still absolutely loved going through this book. The early concept art and the illustrations of the monsters/characters are beautiful. It goes in depth for each monster and character in base game World as well as the history of each locale.

This book is so packed with detail and lore that I couldn't resist buying even though I knew the binding would fall apart. The same day i got it, i opened it and it fell to peices. I decided to take the time to take each page out, hole punch it, and add it to a binder to make it a complete book again. If your willing to put in the time for this, I seriously recommend it. Just for the information alone, I give it 5 stars! Note for MHW players, this book does not cover the Witcher monster or Behemoth, as they are not part of the Monster Hunter world. Please take the time to put this book back together, it is so worth it!

Large size book with nice colored graphics for a Christmas gift

The Good: The book is hands down amazing quality. 5 stars on the work Capcom and Viz did. The artwork, storytelling, and lore inside this book are a masterpiece in their own regard. Buy this book if you are a Monster Hunter geek like me!The Bad: Unfortunately, and as has been the case several times now, Amazon packaging has failed to deliver a relatively delicate, heavy, paper bound book without some battle scars. The corners around the spine arrived crushed and marred, slightly torn. Amazon needs to learn how to package and handle books a bit more gently, or package them properly—isn’t book sales how they started? I don’t expect I’ll get any compensation for this, and will have to live with the damage, but I hope someone at Amazon reads this and takes this to heart, because this is not the first time I’ve gotten an injured book.

Let me start off by saying this book, is absolutely amazing, I love it to death and I'm still reading in it even to this very day, because it huge book. I highly recommend it to any Monster Hunter fan, I guarantee, you will love it! Especially if you are a Monster Hunter fan who loves Monster Hunter lore, and concept art~!That being said, there is one issue with the book, it's the fact that it's TOO thick! Because of the thickness of the book, the binding can't really hold all the pages properly. As I was reading through it, some of the pages got loose and fell out. Now nothing a bit of very carefully planted super glue can't fix. But the thing is I shouldn't have to do this, in the first place. I do feel like there will be an Iceborne version at some point in the future, but I think the company would be better off going hard cover next time, or dividing it into two books instead of one huge one. Or if they do still chose to do the same thing, at the very least, make sure the binding can take it, so that no pages fall out.All in all, 5/5 Highly recommend!
