Very smooth and makes glue-ready cuts - It's a Festool. What more can you say?
Bought this universal blade to complement the 48T stock blade of my TS-55REQ. This blade was used for a specific task to cut and fabricate a Paperstone counter top. Paperstone is a unique "Green" product consisting of recycled paper and phenolic resin and made for kitchen and bath counter tops. Comes in various colors and thicknesses and requires the use of carbide tipped tools. This blade cut through this product like butter. No binding or slowing of the motor and the seams were glue-ready. Unbelievable! I now use this blade for most work and change out to the 48T when I need to make fine cuts. Worth the price but what can I say, it's a Festool.

Burn-free rips on sensitive woods
I have had mostly good success ripping with the high-quality 48T stock blade that came with the saw but encountered some, understandable, burning while ripping walnut. Like others have said, this is a very high-quality blade and produces a very fine, glue-ready cut. Using this blade, I have had no issues cleanly ripping 4/4 stock, such as walnut and cherry, that is typically susceptible to burning.

Saw cuts like new
This is a really good blade. It makes great cuts. The 10" festool plunge saw is underpowered, so you really need to keep a sharp blade or the motor stalls in hardwoods such as oak and hickory.

however the down side to the saw was it seemed like it struggled to rip hardwood
ive had my festool saw for years and its now a necessary tool for what I do. couldn't live without it. however the down side to the saw was it seemed like it struggled to rip hardwood , like attached fillers on cabinets. that was before I bought this blade. it rips cleanly thru solid maple like butter. cuts chip free also even thru painted maple. awesome blade. I wouldn't use it on laminates.

Worth it
I’ve been using Freud rip blades on slabs for years. Recently, both my saws developed a strange intermittent wobble that ruined cuts through thick hardwoods. I attributed it to worn saws, since we ask a lot of them and the blades are both new. Then, I realized that new blade’s corresponded with our Dewalt and Festool track saws both misbehaving. I pulled the trigger on this full kerf blade and the Festool saw is back to 100% and earning its keep. Freud must have changed their design or manufacturing and that’s too bad — they used to be great. Also of note: the geometry is such that it seems to my crew and I that this full kerf blade cuts more easily than the thinner kerf Freud.

Another quality Festool product.
Got this and the Rip Blade for my Festool track saw. Made the mistake of trying to do a rip cut on a hard wood door with a crosscut blade, and thought I killed the motor. Now I have the necessary blades to make the correct cuts.

Good for Straight Line Ripping
This blade is essential for straight line ripping solid lumber, with good saw control you can achieve a glue ready cut.
