EMS Folks - Recognize the Hyper-sensitivity of the Cardiology
I have an earlier generation, maybe Littmann Cardiology I or II, and used it in my work as an EMT. Was great for everything but blood pressures, where it was maybe a bit too good. I could hear systolic heartbeat sound earlier, and diastolic later, than others.I'd roll into the ER, reporting a 3 minute-old BP of, say, 130/60, but when the nurse took the BP, with her lower quality quality stethoscope, she got, say 110/75. Then, I'd get that look. Finally realized what was happening, when a nurse re-tried the BP, using my scope. Before then, though, I'd also report rales that even the ER docs didn't hear.Again, an earlier generation, but I can't imagine the current generation scopes are any less sensitive.

Classic
This is simply a classic stethoscope and it’s a classic for a reason. It works and it works well.

Pay attention to the length, difficult to use with obese patients
The cord is too short, otherwise sound is great
