Let me start by saying I have had many leashes as we have 7 dogs and I ran a rescue as well as board in my home so I have had literally 400 dogs in my care and have tried every kind of leash, collar and harness imaginable. These slip leads appear quality! They just arrived so I will update in a few months but so far I am impressed. The metal tab that you can move allows you to size this slip lead to your dog where it can tighten, but it cannot choke them or damage their trachea which is very important and a feature I have not seen before. It then has the usual tab to slide to prevent the leash from having too much slack on the neck where a dog could back out of it. The handle is padded and comfortable and the large size leashes come with a poop bag dispenser and a metal o-ring right on the hand to connect the bag dispenser to, also a very nice feature. These leashes are well thought out and executed, a good value for the money. Some other slip leads we have used are too soft and fold in on themselves when trying to loop a dog or too stiff and rigged not allowing the leash to function properly. These seem to be the perfect medium, stiff enough to lasso but pliable enough for proper movement. I believe all dog owners and even more so those who board dogs in their home should have slip leads in case of emergency. We were awoken in the middle of the night because of a fire. When you have literally minutes to get out of your home, you do not have time to fumble with clasps and hooks on panicking dogs. Also, a dog who is usually perfect on lead might be so upset and worked up that they pull back on their collar when they never have before. Our dogs are naked in the house so this is a necessary time saver. These leashes are the quickest and safest way to secure your dog in an emergency.

Had for several years now great quality perfect length

We bought a pink leash for our German Shepherd, not as her primary leash but just as an 'extra' leash to have on hand. This is a thick, tough leash that's very cushy and comfortable in my hand. I like that it is reflective, too. This is a great leash to keep near your home's doors in case of an emergency, like if you need to get your dog out of the house in the event of a house fire or something. I have friends who are police officers and if animal control isn't working then they have to catch stray dogs. A lot of departments don't issue dog leashes along with handcuffs and such, so I recently bought a two-pack to donate to my local police department so that they always have at least a couple of reliable leashes on hand.

I have a 170lb great Dane and he usually wears a gentle lead but I wanted a new leash b/c his is starting to wear so I ordered this one and for some reason thought it had a hook end to attach to his collar (gentle lead) but it's a slip leash which is fine, I'm using it for my smaller dog. I ordered another leash for my Dane but I would definitely recommend this leash for a giant breed dog b/c it seems very durable.we have lots of leashes for BIG dogs and this one seems as strong as some of the higher prices ones we have bought.

I love this leash. That's it. That's the review. I am a dog walker/caregiver, so the tools I use are very important to me. It was perfectly priced, and the quality is truly amazing. It's firm for training but not hard to work with. I chose this as my purchase because I saw another reviewer mention that it kept the loop for the dog at the same size. That's true! It's adjustable and then it stays true to where you put it. I am currently training my dogs and they find no discomfort in it and heal so much easier now. BAAPET truly cares about your animals well being and you can see it in the quality and design of this leash. I will be recommending this slip lead to anyone in need of one, and will purchase again in the future to build my collection.

3 month review for 80-lb pit bulls. STRONG BUT UNCOMFORTABLY THICK. I use these for spare car leashes for unexpected stops or to extend my normal.6ft leashes at the park, my dogs go everywhere with me. The rope is very thick so it's difficult to turn on your dog's neck when they stop to sniff or turn a corner, which causes visible chafing when it finally tugs free. The handle is nicely padded, but if you're walking 2 dogs at once, 2 handles is too thick to hold with one hand, I had to buy an oversized caribeaner from Harbor Freight to clip them together. Final review: This is a solid backup / emergency leash, but not a good choice for everyday use. It is strong enough for my 80-lb pit bulls pulling HARD. But it isn't comfortable for them or for me. Also expect to throw away the cheap plastic poop-bag holder. It makes annoying clicking sounds and jams like all the others, just use a Ip tie or sandwich tie through the center of the tube to attach them to the leash. 3 stars. Fine for intermittent use, you won't love it, your dog won't love it, bit for the price it WILL keep your dog safely at your side, and that's the most important thing at the end of the day.
