Used with my new Optoma Laser projector....
Used with my new Optoma Laser projector....1st things 1st, I am mechanically inclined so for me this projector mount worked perfectly with no modification, "however" it did require a little planning with the mount install on the projector itself. That said, in order to get my 3 points of contact screws tightened on the projector with the mount, 1 screw just needs to be snug tight but not too tight, enough tightness so you can adjust/move and tighten the other 2 screws really good and so the mounting cage is within the mounting center point of contact with the projector. So you know, Optoma's have only 3 mount holes on the projector itself, some have 4 which won't be a problem for you unless you come up short, I used 3 mount arms on my mount, the object is to center the mount in between the 3 mount holes. If you get stuck and your a man, ask a woman for help, if available....they are better at math and angles - a scientific fact, "utilize any good tool in your toolbox" plus it doesn't hurt to get a fresh different perspective, she just might give you a new plan of approach too. It may sound confusing but it really isn't, while doing it, it would "click" with you..."ah hah I know what he talking about". Here's the thing, a snug tight screw is not going to unloosen, the object it's securing isn't constantly moving or vibrating in any way to make the mounting screws loosen. People get to critical when they have to secure something, and over do it on high dollar value items. I found the parts well made, finished very well and heavy duty to deal with it's job of holding the projector in a fixed position. Happy installing, Marc

Well made, easy to use, great value
In summary: Solid design seems to fit all projector types and allows for easy positioning to get just the right angle. Takes some finesse to get the projector on the mount. See the video for a hands on demonstration. I purchased the ceiling mount for my outdoor theater system and am very happy with it. For the price I paid I received a very well made mount that I have complete faith in. It leaves the projector a good distance from the ceiling (about 4 inches) and allows me to easily position the projector at the correct angle depending on where my screen is, which is important because I may not set the screen in the same spot every time. As you can see from the stock photos, there are three pivot points for you to point the projector up and down or tilt left and right. And the arms that attach to the projector itself allow some wiggle so that you can pivot left and right. You can loosen and tighten each pivot point, but just out of the box the screws were loose enough that I could pivot the projector but tight enough that it would stay in place. Perfect! First time setup will likely take you 15 or 20 minutes to get the arms in the right spot (which requires unscrewing some of those arms) but the design is such that it seems like it should fit almost any projector- including supplying 4 different sizes of screws to attach to the mount to the projector. Once the projector is attached to the bottom part of the mount, you will need to attach it to the top part of the mount, which will take another 10 minutes of unscrewing and positioning. Once you've got everything in place the first time, removing the projector from the mount will take you about 3 minutes each time. I wish this took less time but I can't complain because I don't think that's really what the mount was made for. And 3 minutes isn't really a big deal anyway. I can strongly recommend this product!

Inexpensive, Straightforward, and Easy to Use Mount for Benq HT2050 and Other Projectors
Somewhat vague instruction sheet but since there is nothing difficult to figure out with this mount installation was very straightforward and easy once I figured out the best location for my projector. Adjustments are self explanatory when looking at the mount and making it fit your particular projector is not difficult because the legs that are used for attaching the projector can move in any direction and several sizes of screws as well as washers are included in the kit. Overall the mount looks nice with a white powder coated finish and zinc plated bolts. It would be nice if they included some sort of caps to cover the lag bolts which are used in my installation to secure the mount to the ceiling. In my case I used two lag bolts that screw through the drywall and into the lumber of the truss. I measured, marked and then drilled a pilot hole for each lag bolt and then screwed them in tightly. It is very solid. Most of the joints on the mount are fitted with nylon washers which allow you to just crack the allen cap screws slightly loose, scoot the mount to make an adjustment and then snug them back down again to hold everything firmly in place. It is simple yet it works surprisingly well. The mount does hang the projector slightly farther from the ceiling than I would have liked but it looks fine. I'm using the Benq HT2050 projector which shines 11ft to a Monoprice motorized 120 inch screen it looks really nice and watching movies is awesome.

Good value mount.
Great mount for the price. Low profile, easy to assemble and adjust. Comes with all the hardware necessary for mounting to the ceiling and your projector to the mount (unless your particular projector requires some odd screw size/length). 1 star off as it's not the prettiest mount; but it's low cost, functional and very secure. I have no worries about my projector or mount falling. I like that it uses hex bolts for the adjustment points as they are easier to tighten down than regular philips head. December 30, 2017 Update: still stand by my review. Good mount for the extremely low cost. Just upgraded to an Epson HC4000 projector (also great) from an Optoma GT1080. As the description now states, this mount can only do 12.5" max spread on the mounting holes. The Epson is a little farther. As a work around I used 3 arms as the Epson has a variety of mounting points (1 center and 2 on each side in a triangle shape). Is it slightly less secure? Yes, but I still have no worries of it falling...the triangle mounting pattern also has the slight benefit of being easier to "center" the balance/tilt of the projector on the mount.

An amazing value mount that fit (almost perfectly) for Epson 4010
I needed a new mount going from my old Epson 400 max output 720p to my new monstrous Epson 4010 4k projector. I had 2 choices, Best Buy install or a DIY with a cheap mount. I went the later knowing if I messed something up I could just spend the extra coin on geek squad coming out - luckily I didn't need to. This mount is great! It comes with all the hardware necessary plus it includes multiple sized screwed for various brands of projectors. I'm giving the product a 5 star overall due to value, but there is 1 caveat to which I read in another person's review of their Epson 4000 which applies to the 4010 and above line of Epsons as well and that is that 1 of the legs does not reach so you will only get 3 legs attached. Luckily because of the position you can grab with the 3 legs it makes it incredibly sturdy. My only gripe at this point with the mount is how easy it is to manipulate. This may not be a problem for most home theatre rooms, but mine is located right below my kitchen where the kids run through like crazy and the pounding the floor takes above moves the projector to where at night when I turn it on I usually need to adjust it to the center. Not a big deal, but I wish there was a better way to find a setting and cement it to that exact point so it doesn't move. Overall, the minor grip aside it's a very sturdy and heavy mount that at this price point and the articulation it gives you cannot beat.

The best ceiling mount money can buy
Simply put, this is the best ceiling mount money can buy. It is solidly constructed, it uses hard plastic washers and spacers which make everything fit together solidly while also allowing full freedom of movement, and is adjustable in so may ways you really won't believe it. It comes with all of the hardware you could possible need, and is everything you could ever want in a ceiling mount. It is rock solid. It is so good that I'm still giving it 5 stars even though I received a black one instead of the white one, because it is so impressively built and works so well, you won't care what color it is, even if the one you receive is hot pink with purple polka dots. If you have a low to mid level ceiling, get this mount. If you have a high ceiling, get a lower one built so you can use this mount. It is that good.

Great mount but not perfect, I'll explain.
Bought the mount because it seemed to fit my needs but I didn't know what size mounting screws it came with and took a chance that one would fit my projector. One of the screws fit into the mounting locations on a GooDee Video Projector, but the screws provided were not long enough because the feet of the projector had to come off and that inset the screw holes by about 3/8th of an inch. Quick fix on this projector was to run to the hardware store get the recommended screw size for my projector and increase the length. I wish they would have had the right size screws but the length they needed to be on my projector would have been too long. Otherwise, construction and quality of this very universal and inexpensive projector mount is awesome for the price, not that they could charge even more for it because of the quality and value. Worth it, if the screws don't fit just find some that do, this is a very versatile mount. I think the overall size from screw point to screw point is 12.5" inches so you should take that into account before purchasing. Happy customer.
