KNIPEX Spring Hose Clamp Pliers

Yes This is PRICEY! If you work with the flat spring clips on any regular basis you know what a P.I.A. they are and how they jump off the pliers or will not move out of the way. If you EVER fought with the compact nubby ones and thought someone broke the spring clip (no, that is the way they come)You will probably want to get this.Slide ratchet close adjustment for easy lineup. Pivoting ends on the jaws so you can wiggle it around without getting bit by the clamp.The inner jaw is smooth and supposed to grip the hose without damage so you can break it free. I have not tried that yet.

I wish I New about this tool earlier In my career. This is the best tool to get to hard spots with those irritating clamps. The swiveling part makes it easier to get at with hard angles. I think this is better then any other type of clamp pliers. This is worth every dollar , I wish it was cheaper , but this is the best on the market , you will make your money back when it comes to time of use.

Rotating pin fell out after a few weeks barely used. Not worth the cost. 1 starupdate: after i posted previous review knipex contacted me to say they had updated the design after initial feedback and give them my address and they would send new one free of charge.It took a couple months before i got into the routine of reaching for these over the old style, but know these are the first ones i go for. Freaking things are awesome. I swear you would think the pins had bearings they rotate so easy. Once you have a hold of a clamp they dont let go.A+++ for product and customer service.Thank You Todd

You know that good feeling when you use the right tool that makes work soo much easier? Yea this is it. Stop screwing around with ordinary pliers with spring clamps and get this tool that’s actually made for it

Its a good quality tool. The only problem I have seen is that the jaw inserts turn too easily. When you compress the spring clip it can turn sideways not giving you full compression.

I can’t believe after working on vehicles for over 25 years that I had not stumbled across these sooner. Pricey but worth every penny. I do not dread spring clamps anymore. After using these the locking ones seem like a better choice but I have not used them yet. I kinda wish I had bought those instead

For the price, I expected them to jump out of the toolbox and open the hose clamps itself! It's well made, but there's no way around those clamps are a pain.

Using these to replace vacuum and fuel lines on my old Corvette. Works great! So much easier than fumbling with pliers. Have used these pliers on clamps from 2 inches down to 1/4 inch and they make the job so much easier. The swivel jaw inserts are really useful in tight quarters. If you have a lot of spring clamps to work on, these pliers relieve a lot of frustration.
