I used these for the first time a few days ago. What I like: - Made scooping and transporting piles of leaves much, much easier. I was shocked at how much I could move in a single trip. This is the reason for buying these, and in this regard these are a winner. - The teeth were surprisingly effective at scooping up that last little batch of leaves while allowing soil and very small bits of leaves on the ground. I wasn't expecting that level of precision. - I'm a guy with average-sized hands, and these fit fine. I didn't have to make any conscious effort to keep them on my hands while using them. What I don't like: - The plastic strap is held in with plastic protrusions on the end--kinda like tabs. I'm very confident that the two places where the straps meet the body will be the first parts to fail. And, when they do, these grabbers will be useless. If the body develops a crack or one or more of the teeth break, they'll still be usable, but the straps are crucial. It's a bummer that this product is designed with such an obvious point of failure. When one of the plastic ends breaks off of the strap, I'm thinking I'll replace the plastic strap with a strip of cloth, tying washers to each end to anchor the strap in place. If the manufacturer did something like this, with a cloth or leather strip with some kind of objects at the end to hold the handle in place, this would be a five-star product. They could even make the handle adjustable by allowing you to clamp and unclamp one end of this handle. This might address those folks who report that these grabbers don't fit their smaller hands. If only....

Plastic is flimsy but they were the least expensive. Almost better to use my hands in heavy gloves.

I used the leaf scoops for the first time yesterday gathering leaves . They work great and saved a lot of time . I would recommend .

These work great for picking up large amounts of leaves or pinecones. Just rake them into a pile first.
