Mrs Funnybones is a nice light entertaining read
Mrs Funnybones is a nice light entertaining read. The author addresses most of the everyday issues of family life and some main stream issues of culture and so called tradition on lighter notes and is bang on them resonating with all liberated thinkers of Indian origin.Twinkle Khanna is quite a riot as she tells us about the many roles she plays and relationships she juggles.I quite the names she uses to address the main characters in the book along with the way she humors the characters.Recommend the book to one and all. It is definitely a one time read and a book for the home library!!

Humor with a tinge of philosophy
This book is easy to read. It is written in simple language, yet there is a sophistication to that simplicity. Twinkle has a good sense of humor, and as she tries to view her numerous everyday life situations from a humorous perspective, she could be excused if some of the jokes sound cliched. The reader is bound to find her style disarming, especially her penchant for laughing at herself (considering her celebrity background). Hidden within that humor are some nuggets of wisdom and food for thought. She might agree with Mark Twain, who once said "Laughter without a tinge of philosophy is but a sneeze of humor." I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to spend a few hours reading something lighthearted and funny.

A Brilliant book
An irreverent , roller coaster account of life when viewed through a not so ordinary mirror. Twinkle delights you with her tongue perpetually in her cheek quips on practically everything .Her insights on human relationships and her observational skills re extraordinary .The prose in her narrative lilts along like flawless poetry .This book belongs to a genre rarely encountered in most writing . She is one of those authors who come along every other decade or so . I look forward to more from her as she gets the responsibility of raising a family out of the way and carves out more time for her her passion .

Fun read
Fast easy read. Fun. Plenty of relatable vignettes. Bought this without realizing author was part of a famous acting family. Interesting to google the characters and learn more, the mother in law was in Tenet.

After reading all the good reviews I ended up purchasing the book
After reading all the good reviews I ended up purchasing the book. Having read Twinkle's blogs, I felt kind of cheated as a lot of chapters in the book were mere copy-paste from her blogs! However, her writing is wonderful and has a very good sense of humor. I finished reading the book straight in 2 hours! I wish it was longer but more novel stories rather than picking up stuff from her own blog.

Honest, brutal entertainment
I just loved reading it. We think of celebs as aliens who descend as super humans with nothing to do and struggle for (except Hits and projects). You take us so close in your life and make every woman feel so real and yet so special coz we all go through almost the same things in our lives

Do not read
As another reviewer said, the author's privilege shows in the book. It is quite elitist, and the author seems to have this sense of entitlement. After learning that this book was a bestseller, and looking at great reviews, I was really hoping this would be good book. I was definitely disappointed. I guess if you are rich, married to a celebrity and are able to organise a glitzy, celebrity filled book launch, then you get plenty of publicity for a bad, if average book. I will however say the book is funny in places but again, this book wouldn't be a bestseller, forget bestseller, it wouldn't even be published if the author weren't a former actor/wag.
