VX1 - Dive Mask

The most comfortable mask I have ever worn. Really nice quality and clarity. Feels very light on my face. I don’t have long facial hair, but I do usually have a light stubble. Mask always makes a nice seal for me. Worth the price tag

Great mask. Soft silicone skirt and a quality mask. Beware that if you have a large face, the mask seems small.

Coming from the Tusa Zensee (my favorite mask), this Apeks did not fit at all. I'm not saying it's a bad mask, it just happens to not work for me in particular. I noticed that Asians, myself included, seem to like the Zensee as it's made by an Asian company. Apeks is an American brand and probably better suited for a more European shaped face. So before you drop $200 on this like I did, hopefully this review can save you some money.

It's a scuba mask through and through and it will serve you well for probably years to come on all of your diving adventures if you take care of it. Every mask fits every face different so I'll say this, I'm 6'2", 210 lbs and have a defined jaw and a bigger than average...nose, but this fits like a dream. Really, it's like wearing one of those face treatments your wife(partner) uses at night that you should not have been too scared to start using 7 years ago. You know what I'm talking about. Enough about that, what you really want to know: Pros: 1. Great seal, frameless design wraps that silicone around your face so you are assured to get that lovely (I just went diving ring) around your face by the time you're done and on the beach telling everyone what they missed. 2. You get a nice semi-hard case, 2 straps (1 silicone, 1 Velcro headband), you really don't need anything else unless you just really like gadgets around your face. 3. Single lens provides exceptional visibility with no tint (not a fan of tinted lenses). Cons: (Why you get an honest 4 stars and not 5) 1. There are a lot of reviews saying how much this fogs...I must say, everyone knows your 3 options to prep your mask (before you get in the water) right? 1. Toothpaste, 2. Lighter, 3. Sponge and soap, well I'm telling you Apeks decided they really wanted to protect this lens because I found the ONLY way to prep this properly was to use...FIRE! There was way too much silicone spray (or whatever chemical dejour) on the inside of this lens. You absolutely must prep this mask to love it and enjoy a fog-free dive! That's it, I love this mask and you should too, but you gotta put in the time to prep this bad boy before getting under the waves...especially if you're going out for the day and actually want to see clearly. I can see why this mask gets such great reviews and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again! Happy diving!

Once again a product from Apeks exceeds industry standard. The mask skirt is comfortable, the glass is perfect, the case is exceptional, and the UV coating is a great asset both on and below the surface. Without a doubt, I recommend this mask. Constructive criticism can only be applied to the optional neoprene strap, the Velcro attachment point is a bit scratchy on the face and it should be provided in white when accompanying the white mask.

I have been diving for over sixteen years, doing things as a dive professional and a technical diver. Needless to say, I have owned many masks throughout the years. However, this mask is hands down the most comfortable one I have ever owned. It fits like a glove, makes a solid seal, and doesn't get uncomfortable when wearing for hours on end.

aunque se me empañan y no las he quemado por el cristal uv, alguna recomendación.. puedo quemar el cristal?
