Durable and handy case
This case is really well made. It feels solid all around, and the strap on the back makes holding the Surface Pro in one hand much easier and helps with carrying it around. My only complaint is that there is no slot for the slim pen like there is one for the original fat pen.Update: bought another one after 2 years because the bottom part broke. Still my favorite. Too bad they don't make one for tab s8 because I had to settle with a less convenient case for it.

Great, sturdy case
So far, love it! I was worried about ordering a case in the cheaper side because my Surface Pro 7 wasn't cheap. I like this brand, so tried it. One if the oy cases you can use with the keyboard attached. It fits tight, buttons are lined up, stylus stays on. Haven't tried dropping it, keep you updated on that one. Highly recommend

The cover Microsoft should have provided, but glad they didn't.
Let me begin by saying, I currently work in a mixed office and field environment. When I say "field" environment, I mean, I am currently employed by the US military and use this case on a Surface Pro 7 in tactical environments. My SP7 is with me as often as I am allowed to have it with me, which is basically daily, nightly and ever so rightly...Hope someone gets that Scrubs reference.BLUF:-Provides great protection, not as good as a fully enclosed case, but better than other "rugged" cases.-Allows you to use the SP7 kickstand.-Pen holder is secure and easy to use.-Surface Pro easily goes into and out of case, but wont accidently come out of the case.-Bottom of case offers little to no protection. This case has many great features. Some with better execution than others. While other features have to compromise for sake of usage. It's easy to install and remove, but lacks protection along the bottom edge. It improves on holding the Surface Pro by being thicker at the top and providing a hand strap. But the cut outs for the Surface connector are not quite larger enough, causing interference when trying to recharge the tablet. The lack of protection along the bottom does allow for the Surface kickstand to be used, with a notch at the bottom left that provides a finger hold or fingernail catch to the kick stand. The pen slot is another great feature. Its tight enough to keep the pen from falling out, while not so tight to make it difficult to put it away. The string and retention clip were nice at first, but the string would often get in the way of writing on the tablet. Eventually, I just removed it all together. Had it been a coiled retention cable, might have been better but how loose or tight of a coil would have been difficult to determine. The anchor point was a pain, when using the SP in landscape, but in the right place for portrait use. Some have said it should be moved, but its honestly a trade off. Had they anchored it along the right side, instead of the left, the cable would have been in the wrong place for use in portrait mode, which I use more often when using the pen.The keyboard strap didnt last nearly as long as I would have expected. I bought this in May 2020, and the strap broke in Oct or Nov 2020. It didn't break, so much as it came out of the its pivot points. I was able to push them back in a few times, but after the fourth or fifth repair, I gave up on it. Not a huge loss, but was a bummer to lose none the less.Ultimately, this is a great cover for those that use a SP as a daily driver. That carry a SP as often as a pocket knife or wallet. It offers great protection against bumps, bruises, light or low drops, light rain or mist, and day to day scratches and scraps.

Wonderful, durable case
This case is brilliant. It's not so big that it makes the surface feel huge, but it's definitely strong and should help a lot in the event of a drop. the hand mount is great, as is the pen mount, and in general the whole thing is designed in a very considerate way. I love this case and can't imagine using my surface without it.

quality materials but misses the mark
The media could not be loaded. it holds the surface well and has an open back to allow the back to dissipate heat and to use the kickstand. The type cover fits well and comes off and on as easily as if the frame wasn't there. But, the bottom of the frame that is open to the back isn't Ridgid enough and moves around when handled. it doesn't feel like the frame will come off but that side feels flimsy. the handle is super tight, which might be ok but it can only be comfortably held in the portrait position. holding it while moving it around was my reason for purchase. the pen holder works well.

Great function and durability, nice nuances.
Excellent fit, and manages to be stout, without being cumbersome to the function of the type cover and kickstand. Ports are all very accessible. Pen management is excellent - so much so, that I changed my mind about the relative wisdom of having a tether. I like it. Overall a good accessory for me. To be sure.

Does it's job! Features also good.
I never write reviews immediately after receiving a product, because long-term is important for stuff like this. Well, I've had the product for several months, and in that time my Surface has twice taken a fall from a height of over 3 feet and is fine. I'm not going to *test* it by trying deliberately dropping the thing, but so far it's done it's darn job of being protective! Beyond that, it works quite well. No interference with ports, buttons work fine, pen holder is great. Little divots on the side allow you to get a fingertip under and pop down your keyboard from it's protective sheath with ease. But none of that would have meant anything if it couldn't protect the computer from falling off a side table.

Best case of the cases I tried.
I tried a few cases for the Surface Pro 7 and this one takes the cake. It's military grade drop protection and it's gives good access to all ports. The ability to use the kickstand is just a win. Also I did some heavy processing with this case and it did not hinder cooling. My Surface did not throttle at all.I love the pen holder as well. Pen is firmly in place but takes no effort to remove when you need it. Other cases I tried that were similar, the pen holders never worked right. Either too lose or so firm I was worried my pen world break on removing it.The case is top heavy but if you drop your Surface, it will land where you have the most protection. Would buy again. Only flaw with this case, is the power port sometimes is fussy to get a conection. So make sure you check if the light is on when you connect.

Funda recomendable

Best Case For The Surface Pro 7!
Best case i have used for the Surface Pro 7. I previously used the UAG Plyo Armor Shell Rugged Case. This case was solid but i found it to chunky and heavy. Also the surface ran hot because of the the lack of ventilation. The Kensington is better because it has great protection and is not as bulky. Also it has better ventilation. The only complaint i have is that the power button is to big. Which means that when you put it in a bag you can accidentally turn it on. Other than that this is a great case and i highly recommend!
