Who Was Rosa Parks?

Great book

This book series is amazing. Perfect for kids, young and old, who want a brief, but interesting bio. It's written on a 3rd to 4th grade level, so perfect for kids who enjoy history. Easy to moderate, depending on the person's reading ability.

A great synopsis of her life for a grade schooler.

I have bought quite a few from this series. My 5th grader loves them. She had a resesrch eport due on Rosa Parks and this was a perfect book to teach her more about who she was. She has maybe 5 or 6 other books from this series and really enjoys reading them.

Educational on history, & how 1 individual changes the future. My gdaughter 6, came home from school & I inquired if her day. She was ESTATIC to share what she learned about in MLK day, & Rosa Parks. She's white for the record! Jesus loves ALL the lil children of the world whether your red, black or white ( like the song) PLEASE help stand up...NO books about history should be pulled off shelves!! I'm concerned of getting her more books, before unavailable. DeSantis, NEEDS to help ALL citizens, w/ issues like homeless, NOT pass law to carry for ALL! HELP real issues, like homeowners insurance, & stop playing w/ culture wars!!! Children & ALL NEED assistance to continue living in FL

I donated these wonderful readers to the kids section of our local library. I am excited to know that children will learn about these historical people.

I'm 7 years old and I read this book for Black History month. I give this book 4 stars because it gave me a lot of details about Rosa!

I am the mother of four adopted African children and always looking for good role models for them. Since it is hard to find books for children in Spanish about black people that have done great things I buy them in UK. This is a great collection of books with some black people that have an impressive life full of courage and hard work. Far from the mostly bad role model presented on TV shows. It gives my children a great push to be who they want to be. There are a lot of books in Spanish abut adoption, children's stories about multiculturalism, etc... But I just wanted biographies of real black heroes! This one in particular is perfect since it is about a black woman! It is even harder to find good role models for girls nowadays regardless their ethnic group, TV is getting more and more degrading towards women.

Got this for my 7 year old daughter to learn about history as well as practice her reading skills. She is very into this book and will sit for an hour or so at a time and read it. This is the first book she's really liked to read by herself of her own free will. I definitely recommend it for other similar aged kids. Very educational and a great conversation beginner on a harder topic.

This is a really nice collection. It is nice for kids to read and they are very instructive and interesting. We will get more of them in the future.
