USB Cable, USB to RJ45 Console

Excellent quality cable, and worked immediately with native driver in Win7/Win10. One great thing over most USB-to-Serial adapters is that the COM port won't change every time you disconnect/reconnect, or change when connected to a different USB port. Very happy with this purchase.

I am very pleased with this flat cable, although I am usually skeptical of flat cables. I use it to access the Serial Console on an EdgeRouterLite-3 firewall-router and it was a no-hassle setup on MacOS High Sierra. In times when so much tech fails to meet expectations, this was a very positive experience. I might buy a backup!

The perfect accessory for connecting to the 'console' port of Mikrotik router. I used with my Mac and downloaded the freeware 'CoolTerm' program. No drivers needed to be downloaded.

This worked for connecting to my home security system. It has an ethernet style port with an adapter to go to serial. None of my computers have this port anymore, so rather than convert that serial to USB I wanted one cable without additional adapters. This works great. Windows 10 recognized it and the software recognized the connection without having to fiddle with anything.

This cable was awesome, it works there are no compatibility issues and the price was good.

I tried to use the old school db9 pin converter to RJ45 for the console but was a PITA to use. I just plug this in and configure my putty and I am off and running with no driver issues as before.

Pros: No need to deal with multiple cables. Works on windows 10. You may need to download the drivers if the os doesn't autodetect it. Cable quality is good. If using putty, don't forget to change the com port to the one of the cable.

Plenty of length. I use this for a home lab with an autonomous standing desk. W10 recognizes it immediately. Went through putty and logged right into my switches/routers. It doesn't tangle easily, which is a plus.
