I had this Asus Laptop since Nov 2017. The screen stopped working 4 month ago. I software updates, reset laptop to factory settings and nothing helped. Last thing I did was opening and check connections (first time I open an electronic device); everything looked fine. I decided to look for the display replacement. I looked with the Asus reference (UX490) and chose this item. It arrive within the expected time.I did the entire replacement of the screen, it worked excellent, hinges are strong and display brightness is perfect. I did not have to update any software or make any adjustments, just turn on the laptop.I am very satisfied with the screen and did not have to replace such an amazing laptop.

Look and Feel was one 1:1 with what I had before. The hinge isn't as good but it's doable (only thing keeping it from 5 stars). You have to be careful with the install, some of the ribbons navigate under the speakers (held on with tape, just carefully pry up) and if I recall correctly under the hard drive. Not hard, just pay attention and gtg. I'm was so happy when I fired it up and it worked as I hoped it would. I was down for about a month and in the mean time bought a macbook pro which I ended up returning in favor of going back to this badboy.Note the downtime was not the vendors fault, I work in a remote location.
