Great cover, easy to install, looks great, sturdy material - wish we had 4 1/2 stars - only had one issue that they can fix
Have had the pool for 37 years now and been covering it with traditional cover and water bags. I needed a new cover since last amazon purchased cover purchase lasted 6 winters before it was tearing. Was constantly replacing water bags finally was using lumber and cinder blocks. So I have always wanted one of these but too expensive. THIS WAS AFFORDABLE!!! Arrived on time an well packaged. Everything was included. I have never drilled into concrete before but saw a few videos on youtube for competitors products and seemed pretty easy. Rented an impact hammer drill and bit locally for $25 for the weekend. I have a friend who used to work for a pool company in summers who usually helped me cover and uncover. He was hesitant to help - said I should have professionally installed but he helped me. 3 hours later 26 holes later it was installed. IT LOOKS GREAT! FIts great. Only issue I had was the written instructions were minimal. Fact is watching competitors videos had me installing this like a pro. They should just put a youtube video out and add it to the instructions. Longest process was putting the springs on the ends of the straps in first place. This is easy to adjust as you install. Came with a nice roomy storage bad made of the same materials.Leaves are falling now and just blowing off the cover. No big leaf mess to get off the cover in the spring??? HOW I WON'T MISS THAT ISSUE!!!!Now taking the cover off will take about 20 minutes total. Putting cover on might take same amount of time.TIP: Make sure when you are hammering the the brass plugs into the concrete holes you remove the threaded portion 1st so the provided aluminum punch fits down into the brass part 100% of the way. You actually hit the aluminum punch with the hammer. Then put the screw back down.UPDATE: March 20, 2017: Cover has held up great over the winter. Just noticed the close up picture of the anchors show 2 springs per anchor. Mine is only one larger spring. Don't know if that makes a difference. Also the pool yard has looked really nice for first time since the pool was put in (1980) when looking out the back window. Can't wait to take off and add that update - expecting it to be really easy.UPDATE: October 2017: Cover went back on fast. Takes more time to unscrew the anchors from there retracted position than it does to put the cover on. Noticed one of the ends of the straps was frayed. Something was gnawing on it. It was an strap end that was under a plant (3 of my anchors are off the concrete so I used three 2 foot re-bars driven into the ground to set those strap anchors). So happy with this purchase for the pool!!!
