Good replacement system
Used in a 1978 Class C (van front) Dodge RV and fit well, although the supplied harness could have had longer wires for my application. My only complaint was that the plastic plugs on the harness were very tight to plug onto the control box and to the distributor. Instructions were very good with both steps, words and a diagram. I would recommend.

A valid solution to eliminating factory computer controls
This was so necessary in the industry. Until this, trying to retrofit an early mechanical/vacuum advance distributor, with an old-school factory type electronic ignition system was a trip to the salvage yard. Now, with a nod to China, we have a kit. The distributor and ignition module are OEM compatible, same as any factory unit from the 70's. The vacuum advance is adjustable. The wiring is adequate, but China still suffers from electrical connectors that "kinda-fit". It's frustrating, but it all works in the end.

Preform electronic ignition kit.
The distributor has a wobble when adjusting the aur gap. It changes about .004 thou difference when checking at 180 degrees. Their Should be no difference in checking air gap. I adjusted it the best i could. It seems to work good. The instructions could be better written with the starter solenoid connection. The starter solenoid wire is not needed to connect too the ballast resistor. I figured it out on my own. Thx car runs better than the lean burn set up.

Perfect
The ease of putting it in was great, I found having a aftermarket coil I had to look up which transistor I needed and once that was done she runs great

Not exactly plug and play
The build quality seems pretty high in this kit. I installed this on a ‘72 Dodge 360. I am not a mechanic. I am an amateur hobbyist. The instructions are really poor. Numerous point along the way are very confusing and noIllustrations are provided. I made some amateur mistakes installing this and couldn’t get the engine to start. I figured out my error and corrected, but still no luck. I read absolutely everything I could find and went step by step to troubleshoot my install — including the troubleshooting steps in the included instructions — but no luck. As a last report, I sent a detailed email to the tech support address listed on the kit. It has been about 3 weeks, and I have followed up twice and have not received any support from this company. At this point I am considering reinstalling the points ignition.Bottom line — I wouldn’t recommend this kit if you have any doubts about your ability or skill at installation. You cannot expect support from ProForm.
