Will this device (Mintata) work without an internet connection, and/or a router?

Yes this little gem of a device works without the Internet it hooks up directly to your cellphone. If your telephone doesn't have an automatic app or hooking it up just download mirascreen Or some other similar app that does wireless connection pop. It's very easy to use and surely my favorite device I take it to my father's and we can watch movies from Netflix on my cell phone directly to his TV as well. And my father is old and doesn't have the Internet.

Wasting Time

Sorry guys but it's shows very well "when you can get it to cast" by far I give this a 2..its so difficult to connect once finally connected it may disconnect the worse part is downloading so .any casting apps until you find the correct one . But you you don't mind wasting good quality time I say go for it.

I could not get it to install extremely difficult to connect. I ended up just paying the 35$ and got the google Chromecast ,should not have tried to save a couple bucks.
