Spreading The Disease [VINYL]

I had an original copy of this album in 1985 but used it in a swap deal to a friend. I always intended to replace it and, 33 years later, I have! The album is actually better than I remember with not just the classic tunes sounding good. The whole album is great. I never really thought Anthrax fitted the thrash tag as (the first album aside) their music was never really manic enough. I'd place them in a more speed/classic heavy metal niche. To my mind this is their best album by far, sounding fresh with a great raw production which ultimately suits the bands style. Don't know if this has been remastered but I honestly can't remember the album sounding this good way back when. Just an absolute classic of it's time, simple as! Having ordered the vinyl version I was pleasantly surprised to discover the vinyl was a white pressing, a very good quality (180g) pressing at that. If you remember this album and wonder how it's aged buy it..... it's way better than you remember!

Sounds great, brilliant remaster - the reduced stars are to flag up that mine came with two album discs, one of which was printed with the bonus disc label. Exact same ten tracks on both and zero bonus content. No search results online for a printing error. Have to arrange something with the seller who was not at fault as the disc was sealed

if you are into anthrax and don't have this record then buy it!! for me the 80's anthrax are when they were at there best and this album stands out among all metal of the 80's. from track 1 "a.i.r." it just starts getting you tapping your foot and then by track 3 "mad house" your jumping around. this was the first full length record with joe belladonna on vocals and his voice is strong and clear and melodic,the best singer they ever had (they where bigger than metallica at the time,worst mistake they made when they lost belladonna) this record is a classic metal record with great tracks "medusa" "armed and dangeous" a must for all anthrax fans a must!!

Fantastic album. Remastered with bonus live tracks and demos

After a very Thrashy year including a trip to Sonisphere to watch the big 4 all in one day I decided to treat my brother to a new bit of Vynil for his collection. He seems very pleased, the disk was in good condition, came well packaged and promptly for christmas. All in all a good buy.
