Dont know if they still make these but had mine for many years and it finally gave out. Worked so well. I know with newer technology now these are bascically obsolete now but it was so worth the money.

Maybe I should wait to write a review after I’ve had this CD player a while, but I have to say, I am very pleased with this purchase! I tried shaking the unit and it didn’t skip. The buttons are small, but they were small back in the day. I will say that the ear buds are not very good. It made the sound quality suffer. So I found and old pair of Apple ear buds from an old iPhone. Complete transformation! Beautiful sound and bass quality. I’m excited to listen to the two large binders full of CDs again! Plus I can enjoy going for walks while listen to my old music again! I can listen to music on my phone, but to be able to listen the way I did in the 90’s and early 2000’s is nostalgic!

This CD player is quite good. The tone is excellent and rivals my 500watt speakers. I would give it five stars except the button symbols are hard to see, and the FM radio does not work on the unit I received. Everything else is great!

I will buy this for my niece and nephews for Christmas I recommend it very nice to listen to you can take a walk with the cd and radio fm am protection no skipping I ran the sweeper when I was listening to it I never had a skipping at all It played wonderful it’s portable and the music playback is wonderful Christmas music on FM I listen to music today. I it has a nice stereo system with the earphones thank you and I recommend it all to anyone I’m 67 years old and I like this kind of music Christmas country hymns and a Little rock ‘n’ roll thank you. DO NOT PURCHASE!!! PIECE OF JUNK!!! I was in the market for a new portable CD player because my previous Panasonic one broke after 19 years! So I purchase this Jensen model because it claims to have 60second memory (used for skipping), has repeat settings and bass boost. The reviews were mixed, but I figured, "what can go wrong" my Panasonic one was wonderful. Well, after I got it in the mail, the first cd I put in was a brand new cd I had just purchased, never played, and only 30 seconds into the first song, the cd player started skipping, or continuous stuttering for about three seconds, sitting flat on my dining room table!! So I played that cd on my stereo and no skipping. I played the cd on my laptop, no skipping. I played the same cd and again on the Jensen portable CD player, and again, skipping/stuttering around the 30second mark. UGH. So I play another cd that I've had for years with no problems and again, skipping at around the 30second mark. A few days later I played another cd and it played fine, so I thought it was just a random situation; but then later on during the cd, the same skipping/stuttering happened. The 60 second memory was created to remedy the skipping problem by remembering the song at the point of skipping so the memory would go back and play the song where the skipping happened for a smooth transition. Well this piece of junk is A PIECE OF JUNK. When I take it on the bus and train to work, it skips when I hold it vertically. What's the use of a portable cd player if I can't move it around? I'm not running the marathon or parkour while listening, I'm just walking with it and sitting on the bus/train. Also, it does not have a "lock" setting, so if the play button is accidently pressed, it will play the entire album. Or if you accidentally press another button while listening, it will do whatever you accidentally hit. So it's now been a month since I've owned this cd skipper, and 99% of the dozen or so cd's I've played would be marred by the skipping/stuttering, either at the 20-30 second mark, and/or later on in the cd. I may have been sent a bad cd player, but from what I've experience, THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK! Beware!!! I wish I kept my packaging...that's bad on my part.

A review on this player is hard to do. The Good news first, this is the best CD available on Amazon. IT HAS MORE FEATURES THAN ANY OTHER PLAYER AVAILABLE, In fact, if you carefully read the features ON ALL THE OTHER CD PLAYERS it is amazing how limited they are. (1) no AC adapter input, (2) won't play CD-R, (3) no ear phones (4) no various play modes. THIS PLAYER OFFERS ALL OF THIS, plus bass boom and some other features. This is the only one I would buy. The Bad news, Jensen isn't a great brand, but NO major brands make CD players anymore. All the other players available are equal or worse quality, and have less features. I've bought other Jensen CD players and they don't last very long. HELPFUL HINT: avoid using the programming and random features, this will shorten the life of the player. This version of the player, in my opinion, has tiny buttons - placed too close together. Pass versions had larger buttons but poor placement. The placement, if you memorize the order, if fine but it is hard to press the right one since they are so tiny and close together. BOTTOM LINE: If you need a CD player THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY. No question, this is the best available. I would give it 3 stars because it is "OK" (4 stars would mean "Iike it" and 5 stars "Love it") I gave it 5 stars because it's the best choice of the "OK" products available. I hope they continue to make them. Just in case, I bought 3 of them, tested them all, and they all work well. A note to Jensen: Please keep making CD players, they offer some benefits MP3 players can't perform. All the vendors were great, and all fulfilled by Amazon

Eats batteries like they're free. A bit of a tinny sound with no middle range and a mushy too-loud base.

Good sound quality for the price I paid. Jensen is always reliable.

Works well like it

This Jensen portable CD player performs reasonably well and for a long time if it is powered not by batteries but by the right adapter and delivers clear sound. Although the back side of the CD player says the unit will run on 4.5volt, 700 mA adapter but a current of 700 mA is not enough to run it So an adapter generating 3.6 to 4.5 volts and 1 amp to 2 amps is required to run this CD player. This was told to me by shopkeepers selling such adapters. The company selling this CD player do not even have the courtesy to mention in the description that the unit does not work for long on batteries since it drains the power in them within a short time Nor do they mention whether a suitable adapter is available in the outset market. Their interest is only to sell the product and get a rating and their senseless excuse is that they are only selling an imported product. This is typical of most Indian sellers who just want profits but do not provide customer service. Only after I gave them a low rating did the customer service call me and inform me what adapter to use. Thankfully after the low rating they at least did that. Moreover, their technical team is useless. The 4-star rating is for the quality of the product and for the seller to improve its customer service and get a better technical team.

Love this product well made and sounds good and I love the fact that it can take an electric adapter.
