I wanted to spray it on my boots and then wash it off later. Would that be possible? (For costume reasons)

It my not wash out of porous materials. I used it on asphalt and it is very tenacious. Supposedly washes off concrete and asphalt after numerous rains.

Would this paint work well for temporarily marking a basketball court? I'm wondering if it would transfer to the basketball and get spread everywhere?

It would work well for that and would not transfer the paint via the ball after it drys. It is temporary, however I think you would likely need a power washer to remove it. I painted a foul line and some important corners of a basketball court in our driveway several months ago, and the paint is still there through the winter. Doesn't bother me, but certainly not as temporary as I anticipated. I chalked the other lines and they disappeared after one rain. I did the corners and other dots in temp paint and can re-chalk the rest easily now when I want to. I'm assuming the power washer will remove the temp paint but I haven't tried that yet. Hope that info helps.

How hard is it to remove from grass?

This was used on pavement only for marking lines for kids bicycle safety training after the first rain it was gone

Does this have a fan tip on it for marking 4 inch wide lines? or is it just a straight tip?
