Perfect for everyday use. Maximum 1-3 days of growth.
Perfect for everyday use. Maximum 1-3 days of growth. I was looking for an electric shaver that I could use every day or nearly every day without the skin irritation that a traditional razor gives you if you shave every day. This electric shaver is exactly what I was looking for, with just a few adjustments. I have tried many electric shavers over the years, and I could never get a decent shave. I thought my facial hair was just too tough for electric shavers. It turns out that it was just too long when I tried using them. I almost gave up when I first tried this electric shaver because it wasn't cutting anything on my face. I had 5-6 days of growth on my face, and I had to remind myself that I was looking for a daily shave. I pulled out my Wahl clippers and trimmed my facial hair. I tried the Braun electric shaver again, and it was magic. I got a super close shave without the irritation. My adjustments to maximize the use of this electric shaver: 1. I try to use it with 1-3 days of growth. 2 days is probably perfect for me. 2. I still use a standard Gillette razor to get the tough-to-reach spots, like right under my nose on my lip. 3. If I go past the 3 days of growth, I will trim with some Wahl clippers and then use the Braun electric shaver.

Decent shave for the money
I've had this shaver for about 2 months now and the self cleaning stand is kinda neat although I'm not sure how effective it really is. I prefer to pull the shaver head off and clean it in the sink. Also when the self cleaning fluid tank is depleted I'm definitely not spending money on a new one. I'll probably get a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water and put it in the tank instead. In my opinion, the beauty of an electric shaver is that your not blowing money on consumables every week, if I'm buying cleaning fluid then it defeats that purpose. Anyway, on to how it actually shaves. I'm comparing this to my old 3 headed norelco shaver which shaves in a more random pattern vs this one shaves in a vertical pattern. On my cheeks and moustache area where the hair grows straight up and down, it shaves amazing, hands down beats everything. It barely loses to an actual razor here. On the neck beard area is where this shaver starts to struggle. Since my beard on my neck grows in a more random pattern than my cheeks, this shaver struggles. It takes a long time to shave my neck. My old norelco had an easier time handling the neck but neither come close to shaving the way a razor blade does here. Would I buy it again? Probably not but then again after my experiences with electric shavers, I feel like most are all about the same. I think when this unit dies I'll probably pick up a $60 norelco shaver from any supermarket and just run that. I think the big thing to do, is make sure that you find a unit with replacement shaver heads that are affordable.

I love it!
This super shaver has been a life saver! Itโs so easy to use. You can shave wet or dry. No cuts, nicks, or burns! No more stripping my skin of its naturally oil with a traditional razor blade. I havenโt gotten ingrown hairs yet from using this device. Easy to clean simply rinsing it under hot water after each use. They have a solution you can use too. I use the solution every other day. For the days I donโt, I just do a hot water rinse off. It has save time and is highly convenient overall. Havenโt had to charge it since I got it. This is a great value for money. Update: Iโve had it for over a month or two, canโt remember, it stands an amazing shaving tool! Also, the trimmer attachment is a plus. No need for many devices. This one tool does it all.

Nice in hand, works great!!!
Nice razor that cuts smoothly and fits well in your hand. Reasonable price for a quality product. Iโve used Braun for decades. My old one had a flat beard trimmer part for the occasional stray hair - I wish this one had that too.

Good price for a decent electric.
I have tried numerous electric razors over the past ten to fifteen years. The best thing I can say about this model is that is shaves just as well as the $300+ series 7. It still doesn't compare to a blade. I would almost say if it wasn't for the poor quality of the neck shave it would be almost decent. Pros: Quicker shave, way less mess to clean up, easy to pack for travel. Cons: 7/10 on face shave, 5/10 on neck, you have to shave every day or the shave experience is worse. Face is never smooth not even one second after shaving. Which means applying aftershave on scratchy face. Final thoughts: Unless your skin can't handle a blade or a physical limitation doesn't allow it, I would stay far away from electric razors. Or if you don't mind going through the trouble of shaving and still not acquiring a smooth face. The ease of an electric razor appeals to my lazy nature but the lack of anything resembling a close shave makes it not worthwhile.

No more Braun products for me.
I've used Braun products for almost 20 years. My current razor is a 19-year-old Braun 7680. The battery is dying so I replaced it with this. It still gives a closer shave than the new unit. You'd think after 20 years there would be some improvement or it would work as well as an old product. Iโm also upset that there is no email address available for Braun or parent company Procter & Gamble to send a complaint. Hereโs pretty much what I wanted to send them in an email: This may be my last Braun product partly due to the abysmal user manual. It's in three languages yet the majority of the 'instructions' are in hieroglyphics! I spent nearly an hour in three chat sessions to figure things out. Evidently these manuals are unintelligible to support staff as well as customers. A simple sentence in writing would have answered these questions that are NOT answered by their little pictures: * How long should I keep the razor plugged in before its first use? Your support person told me overnight but on a later chat said that as soon as I saw 4 lights on the razor it would be done, even though that was after just one hour. When I told him it had 3 lights lit, he told me that meant it was 3/4 charged and to wait for the fourth light. I went to check and the razor only has THREE lights! * He told me the light on the charging unit would go from flashing red to being blue when fully charged. So I had to contact him again when, after about an hour, the light was NOT red, NOT blue and NOT even on. Completely dark. He never did tell me what that means. * What do bubbles with the 'no' symbol over them mean? He told me something so involved I couldn't even remember it. I don't know if they think they're saving money buy not hiring writers for their user information, but writers get paid for a reason - they can communicate succinctly. Unlike your pictures which neither this user nor your support staff could interpret. This plus not working as well as a 19-year-old razor, is the end of the line for me and Braun.

Amazing! Especially for Sensitive Skin
I almost never write reviews, but after using this product for a few months, I have to. This was the best purchase I have made in a while. I have sensitive skin and when I use razors I am left with ingrown hairs and rashes even if I shave along the grain (basically leaving a 5 o clock shadow). However, this thing gives me a completely clean shave as if I shaved against the grain with a razor, and without any of the downsides! It works really well dry and with shaving cream. Cleaning is very easy. Highly recommend.

You screwed me over
Bought this item from the Australian site yet it arrived from the US with an American plug, so basically useless until I get an adapter... terrible service extremely unhappy

Good quality from reputable manufacturer
By 1st foil razor, I usually use rotary but so far so good. A bit noisier than my old ones, but the head surface is much larger so itโs an ok trade off. Seems to get down to the skin surface and I like the cleaning and disinfecting cleaning solution
