Large capacity and looks great when boiling. Only worry is that on a few occasions the lid popped up and it then didn’t turn off. Could be dangerous

We bought this kettle two years ago and it no longer boils. Not built to last.We noticed that the water gets colder and colder over time, but it is now at the point that at "100 degrees", the tea is cool enough to drink immediately and I've spilled water directly after boiling on my hand without it burning my hand.

The kettle was lovely, but unfortunately a fault has developed after 6 months where it no longer turns off once it reaches the correct temperature, and now it boils over, flooding the kitchen with scorching hot water. There does not seem to be any option via amazon to send for repair or replacement.EDIT: I was able to find a direct email address for Aigostar, who have now provided a replacement.

Really nice concept kettle, I tend to boil most of the time. However when I'm taking vitamins I only need 50degree water or slightly higher for nice tea's. Very impressed & the colour changing for temperature top-notch! =GunZenBomZ=

Bought 11th February 2024 and only lasted 11 months - it stopped working on 3/1/25 - it still lit up but the heating element had a visible break so kettle was no longer able to heat the water. It had another intermittent problem prior to that too - from time to time the lid would flip open as the kettle reached the boil, so unless you were there to watch over it the kettle would just boil away filling the kitchen with steam. Definitely will not be buying another one.
