When I use this cover, and type keyboard attached my surface pro 6 does not seem to recognize my keyboard cover. Has anyone else had this?

I had this problem too. If you turn the pro upside down where the keyboard connects and push down the part that connects until it clicks, it will start working.

Can the case be used in tablet mode (without keyboard) i.e. by folding the front cover fully backwards?

Yes I think so, but I haven't used it that way yet.

i have the same problem with a brand new surface pro 6. The keyboard seems to be firmly connected and secured, but the tablet will not recognize the keyboard when this cover is on. It's also hard to pry the keyboard cover open, unless you have long fingernails. Also, the cover fits loosely on the side of the USB and power ports. this cover sucks. don't believe the hype. returning today...

Does it work for microsoft surface pro lte?

That's a hard no. At the very least length of the lte is 11.5" and pro 3 is 12"
