Leviton 515PV-LIT Grounding Lighted Plug End Replacement

Works great. I wired a craftsman compressor with this and it was easy enough. I youtubed a few videos to figure how to get the wires in and took me about 15 minutes max. Hope it works for a long time.

I am no electrician and not the most handy man of all of the people I know. I got this because the dog chewed my vacuum cleaner cord. I watched a couple of youtube videos and got this. It was really easy to put and worked find from the first time.I am now shopping for another one like it because the stupid dog chewed the cord for my other vacuum. ERRRGH. To her defense, it is probably my fault for forgetting the vacuum in the open unsupervised.

I bought it for the lighted end.Installed it. And no light.A lil disappointed.Other than that, solid connections and works.

When I'm needing electrical or plumbing connectors, I NEVER buy the cheapest brands....NEVER! Because FAILURE is NOT an option! Would you buy the cheapest parts for your airplane, if you had one? Falling out of the sky WILL ruin your day! But then, so can a flooded house, or an electrical fire, or an electric shock! So, just take a deep breath and buy this male connector. It's super easy to install, black wire on GOLD screw, white wire on SILVER screw, and green ground wire on Green screw. EASY PEASY! And, it lights up with a really cool green light to show it's got power. And, since it's a LEVITON, you made a great decision. Buy it and smile every time you plug it in!

Very solid and easy to rewire to code. The screw terminals have pressure plates to make secure wiring easier!

Fairly easy to install and the indicator light is very helpful it is very durable high-quality just a little bigger than I was expecting but works great.

Poor quality controlThe LED did not light up, just as many other people have reported.Leviton knows that these have a defect yet they just keep selling them. I guess they can get rid of some because most people won't bother to return them.I tried to take mine apart and see if the LED wasn't connected well. During that I discovered that if pressed on the top of the LED really hard the light would start working. Who knows if it will stay working.Don't listen to people who suggest that your wires are backwards is the reason it's not lighting up. The light comes on even when you have no wires at all attached. Make sure to wire the plug right to avoid shock hazard. No putting the wires wrong trying to fix the stupid light! Look up the correct wiring with goggle. Don't go by the color of the screw! Mine came with two gold screws and NO silver screw. Look at an AC outlet.. the socket with the shorter slot is the hot or black wire side. Make your plug that goes into the short slot your black wire side and the plug that goes into the taller slot the white or neutral side.
